I can't think of any better tbh.

Agree but some of us more mature fans have always said this about Doug Smith

It would be a really great gesture if club could donate some of the extra income generated by larger than normal crowd to Ralphs family or a charity of  the families choice.

You are both correct - they made a mistake saying A - IT IS VOUCHER B THAT IS NEEDED.

Re: Ralph Milne

The website is not very clear. Is it all ticket? Do you need a voucher to get in for the reduced admission? Can pay at gate folk still get in for £5/10 or do they have go and buy a ticket at the shop first?

Surely its just easier to say walk ups get in for £5/10 at the gate?  I predict another confused shambles on the horizon. The club need to get this one right but this looks really contrived as a way to trick people who turn up late to end up paying the full whack rather than waiting in a mile long queue at the shop. It will piss folk off much like the Watford game.

Nae mention of gate prices bud but I think they seem to be concentrating on allowing folk to book seats in advance to avoid one problem and have left us uninformed on info for turning up without a ticket. Sure the prices will be the same though. In their defence the focus has been on everything else do do with it. No perfect but they've tried to communicate the families wishes for the game and funeral, reduced prices, organised a half time re creation of his goal and celebration for some fans and encouraged a sea of tangerine to respect the influence he had on the glory years. They've got mair right than wrang bud but yer still right to worry.

Hopefully abody gets in an pays good respects in large numbers. Ken where yer coming fae though.

There will be a bottle neck of late arrivals no matter how they do it.
Just hope we fuckin win for oor Ralphie's memory.

Re: Ralph Milne

Hopefully the polis are ready to request a late kick off.

With things as they stand, it's a cert hundreds will still be outside when the 4th minute's applause starts.

Get there early folks.

Re: Ralph Milne

Not many are happy with many things about the Club just now and I'm one of them, but in my opinion the Club have done everything that I would expect of them about Ralphie's sad passing. The pricing is brilliant and the only thing they have not done is buy everyone's ticket for them!  Anyone that is gonna try and pay at the gate at the reduced rate is off their rocker.  It is totally obvious that if you want to pay your respects to Ralphie you make sure you are in the ground for quarter to three.  I mean you wouldn't turn up at a funeral when the undertakers are bringing in the coffin would you?

Agreed Fooky.

The club fucked up massively after Ian Redford's death and i was very critical at the time.

I think they've learned from that though and played things very well in the past few days.

Re: Ralph Milne

Disappointed to miss this one but sounds like the club have done everything they can to make it as simple as possible for as many who can be there get in.

I hope it all goes well and United win by four.

I expect to hear stories of fans getting in about 15:40 just as Killie score their third....

Re: Ralph Milne

From Utd's official website

Milne Family Thank You -
September 11, 2015

Bradley Milne, Ralphie’s son, has asked the Club to put out the following message on behalf of the Milne family.

“We wish to express our sincere thanks to Dundee United Football Club for all that they have done since it was announced that my dad, Ralph Milne, died in hospital on Sunday. This has been a very emotional week but so much of the burden has been taken from me, my brother Robert and the family by the great generosity of the Club.  We know that “Ralphie” would have been chuffed to bits that ‘his Club’ and the Federation of DUFC supporters’ clubs have been amazing with offers of financial help.

“We want to take this opportunity to offer our gratitude to everyone who has taken the time to get in touch with us directly to offer their condolences and support at this difficult time.  We are also deeply touched and overwhelmed by the indirect support we have had through the many tributes posted on various social media sites.  Reading these has helped us to understand what a talented player he was and how much pleasure he brought. Unfortunately, neither Robert nor I were around to witness his glory years.

“My family and I will be at Tannadice on Saturday and we are really looking forward to seeing thousands of Arabs saying farewell to my dad. It will be tear jerking, we know, but something we will remember all our days. We just wish that dad could have been at Tannadice just one more time to see it.”

Re: Ralph Milne

Fuck it, just called off of my works corporate day at Musselburgh races so I can go to this, going to take the three bairns, it will be my 4 and 2 year olds first game, 6 year old has had a season ticket since she was 6 months old, ha ha.

Couldn't bear to miss it.

Re: Ralph Milne

If you're paying at the gate it is only the Shed where that is possible, there are still spaces in other parts of the ground but they are ticket only.

Re: Ralph Milne

Have sent the old man to get us tickets for the GFL as we're not in Dundee.

Plenty tickets in the front rows seemingly which is grand for bairns.

Re: Ralph Milne

Bowers stuck offshore somewhere off Shetland has asked me to post these top two up, as he cannot, but he will comment in a minute or two...

The third is from us carABZ.  The applause for Ralphie before the teams came out and the minutes silence and the applause again for the fourth minute was amazing.  Hope it helped the family.

Re: Ralph Milne

Would be nice if a place could be found at Tannadice for banners like the second one to be permanently displayed in honour of the true greats of the club.

It's one that won't date, loose effect or appreciation over time.

Probably the opposite.
