In years to come our kids and grand kids will look back on our generation with nothing but shame+contempt if we don't intervene here.

The UK has taken in 216 refugees.Two hundred and Sixteen.

Shameful.

Agreed.

Totally shameful. These asylum seekers have been demonised by the media and the UK Government. Media have changed tune overnight because they got a picture of a dead kid that they thought would help sell papers.

We have helped create this mess due to our immoral foreign policy and now we want to wash our hands of the situation and let other countries deal with the problem.

Sometime in the future history books will be re-written to an extent, to lessen our guilt.

UK helped to cause the issue, and Daily Mail et al kept stoking up the fear of refugees.

I avoid social media to a huge extent, looking in to a few message boards is my limit. So I don't see the rancid bile folks are mentioning here.

What I'm puzzled by just now (apart from the arrogance of our government) is the situation in Budapest. Germany is offering to take in refugees, the trains are there for them, Hungary wants the refugee situation to ease: why aren't the Hungarian authorities allowing the trains to go to Germany?

Its ok though because 52% of Sun readers say we should bomb Syria in the name of Alyan. That'll sort things out. I assume the other 48% have no idea there's a crisis going on and only buy the Sun to read shite gossip and look at tits.
