No better effect on a game and the rest of the team than a good determined hardy no nonsense midfielder.
Great to have a good winger but if half the team is hiding and the other half kidding on that they are pushing up and joining the attack it's no good.
We need someone in the middle to inspire more effort, real commitment and charge those hiding into action.
Nae fucking about, speed the play and movement off the ball up a bit and closing down the opposition with a degree of urgency.
Ken we won't get this type of player but that's what I think we need most.
If management can't motivate this then we need a big character in the middle of the park to do it.

if you look at this from an opposition managers viewpoint. Yes United lack a bit of pace and experience but the way to beat them is by being too physical for them. yet another game passes where the opposition commit twice as many fouls as us. The priority is for few battle hardened veterans a Darren Dods style signing, at the risk of repeating myself how much for Ross Draper?

I'd take Draper, runs like he's needing a shite but is a unit in midfield.

Can we not put the manager and his pals out on loan to a lower division side?

Is he not a striker? We've more strikers than Man City at the moment. I understand he might be a good looking player but lets address needs elsewhere ffs.

Management team is maybe apeing their ex-employers by attempting to buy up players from opposition teams so they can't put us out a cup.

Surely no team would stoop that low......surely

Joe cardle is a winger is he any guid? Was at county last year, his name rings a bell has he had a trial with us?

As well as son of Paddy, we've also signed son of Christian.

Christian Daily, how good was he when he burst on the scene? As I mentioned elsewhere, also famous and loved by me for missing a good chance at Wembley with his napper

Now now chain mail. He didn't miss, the pony tail saved it. And we won! Just a pity we defended like Yenitit at Hampden the previous Saturday! I was the last Scot to leave Wemberlee that wonderful night!

We were different gravy at Hampden, should have scored 6 that day. You had no answer for Scholes in the middle. Will say this, your fans at Wembley were fantastic.

I recall Scotland having a few good chances at Hampden that game as well.
Dodds hit bar and it bounced down on line and a'hing

right enough. I remember not being too disappointed that you beat us at Wembley because when we walked it at Hampden all my mates would give me the "see, we told you scottish football was Mickey Mouse" line which used to drive me mental.

So, are we signing anyone else?

Henri Anier will be like a new player if we play him!

surprised not to see a couple of departures. Dont think we will be making anymore signings though. We have what we have. McKay signing was absolutely massive for us, wish wed had him in sooner.
IE instead of relegation fight, more likely to finish somewhere 6th to 8th IMO. Just PRAY TO WHOEVER that he stays injury free.

I think we will see 2 players shipped out tommorrow and 2 brought in
