Why does this latest installement of the Tannadice soap opera have to be played out so publicly?

Surely this matter could have been dealt with privately?

I'll have a little say on this if nobody minds. Just got clued in on this.

I guess all I really want to say is that it made me genuinely sick to my stomach to see what essentially is a United supporter plastered all over a newspaper like that. I genuinely started to well up a little bit. I think we all need to remember that this isnt a business man, not a typical C-level executive - end of the day he is a United fan who might have assumed more responsiblity than he should have. He's made a f cuking massive mistake.

Seeing him on pages of papers like that made me sick and I wish whoever reported him would have taken that into consideration. Cant imagine how the poor lad must be feeling ffs.

A total non story for the media imo and should never have made the headlines it has.

Hes made a mistake and kens that.

The thing is Thompson is playing on these texts as reason not to meet Fed. He has been refusing this meeting for months and months. This is just the latest excuse.

We are a fucking shambolic laughing stock right now and it's about time the man at the top got a grip of the club and sorted all this shit out properly so the club can succeed on the park where it counts.

Not an st fan by any stretch of the imagination, however, fed have been played it all out in te press first off....

Fed can't act whiter than white when in fact their head honcho is acting like a schoolyard bully and hounding st.

Time for everybody to grow up a bit as this helps no one.

Things could have been ironed out months ago if ST had met with fan groups regarding major concerns.

If you wanted an honest answer from me regarding DUFC and the 2 guys involved in this dispute its simply this,one of them lives and breathes DUFC and the other couldnt give a toss.I have always preferred Pavarotti's Nessun Dorma to Elton's Benny and the JETS.

True enough but he fecked up with those texts. We've all done it, maybe he had a few refreshments. To go to the press is way OTT though. What's the story with ST handing over the reigns to the sister? She seems more level headed. Is that a route most fans would be pleased with or a clean cut with the Thompsons?

That's him gone. Prob for the best if there is to be any chance of the club opening up dialogue with the fans groups. Also hearing chat that this whole situation has been the final straw for Gordon Deuchars.
