If Thompson really does back Jackie then he has to give him the funds to get a player or two in.

I'd say a left back,winger and an experienced hard midfielder are all necessary.

Yes,it may cost a few bob,but it would cost a lot more if we end up dropping out the Premiership which i think could be a very real possibility with the current squad.

See Souttar is getting a bit of critisicm again.I think the kid would really blossom if he had a a couple of hard players round him.Just let him spray it about.

I would make a serious inquiry on a loan deal for a center half. Curtis Good type of player. Agree with your thoughts on Dixon... I liked the boy Townsend from Hull. ApparentLy Jackie and others didnt.

Hard to be forward thinking as a club when your manager is a dud though tek. Very fing hard.

Agree with you both there. But lads, how criminal is it that after how long in the summer, it's come down to this? Less than 48 hours to go and the squad we have isnt good enough?

Criminal when we all knew the rebuilding job was going to be huge in the summer. Really is.

Townsend was 'ok',but i would have seen him more as a back-up.Did think he was treated quite harshly though.

Curtis Good is still injured believe it or not.Poor lad.Looked a right good prospect too.

Yeah, wonder if there is similar type of prospect out there though we could look at on loan from a premiership club?

Premiership loanees would all be youngsters though.

Think we could really do with a couple of leaders on the pitch.

Players to talk the likes of Souttar,Connolly and Donaldson through the game.

Also a guy in midfield who can take the game from the scruff of the neck the way Barry Robson did for us.

Under Levein even if we were down to 10 men and behind in a match you never wrote us off because we had guts and winners on the pitch like Robson,Dods,Wilkie,Hunt etc.

I was literally just typing something about barry Robson before you posted that. Agree with that but we really do have to address defending on set pieces as well.

I'm going to sound cocky as feck but I said a few times at start of the season we had question marks all throughout the side. Well now we have problems all throughout the side.

Positives for sure but the problems are critical.

Would love a tricky winger in before a midfielder. Somebody that can make things happen. Another name just sprang to mind there, Paddy McCourt? 31 year old, at Luton. Bit of a maverick but he's an entertainer.

He had talent but the Celtic fans always said he could never produce when he started games and was more of a impact player from the bench.

Bit like Chris Erskine.

Ach it was just a name that sprang to mind when I mentioned a tricky winger mate. I love ball players. Incidentally , Gordon Strachan described him as one of the most naturally gifted players he's ever saw.

Levein very nearly signed him when he was at Derry City iirc.

Will need to move two on, even on loan if their wages are covered, for every new boy we bring in I think.

We deffo NEED a centre half, a left back, a centre midfielder and a winger who can cross a ball.

However we've needed them for a few months now and he signed fourteen strikers and two untested at this level centre halves instead.

A right winger is needed as is a left back. Then if we somehow release Paton we can bring in a midfielder

I meant the position changes after every game in regards to the opinion of us fans.

We've needed a right winger for ages. One that came to mind was Ainsworth before the season - pacy and streches the game. Scores some cracking goals.

I gave Dixon the benefit of doubt last season but barring a second half against Motherwell he's been borderline pathetic.

Zwick; McGowan, Donaldson, Durnan, ****, ****, Souttar, Fraser, Spittal; Muirhead, McKay

I have slated Durnan but I think under a competent coach he'll be fine. We need to shift the deadweight and bring in a few key players but its not going to happen so I've wasted three minutes out of my life writing this.

At the moment that's certainly not Rankin or Souttar.

The fact that we have got to this stage and not addressed the issues that have been glaring since January (earlier on the nastiness front) suggests he's got no-one in mind or lined up. Why? How about the fact that he's a lazy cunt who does fuck all scouting and appears to have no contacts other than PVH.
