best stadium visisted to see utd?
One of my biggest regrets is that I've never been abroad to see United.
Too young during the glory years, too much responsibility by the time it came back round. Still will get to one one day...
So in Scotland, I'd say the best is Tynecastle. Feels like your indoors, incredible noise created. The semi against Aberdeen in 2008 was one of the best atmospheres I've been in.
Went to see Scotland in Dortmund. That was something else. Imagine a fucking enormous Ibrox!
tynecastle my best in scotland love it.
done dortmund in 2003 & last yer to see scotland great stadium best id say.

Combining your beer and football knowledge, are you in favour of beer being sold at games?
And if so, where would the bars be in the GeoFox and Eddie?

Did you have a favourite computer game in the 1980s-1990s?

Where is the best/worst boozer/pint in Dundee. (besides your own work )
I've become such a fuckin beer snob these days mate that it's not the boozer anymore, it's the beer selection. Sometimes I wish I could switch it off for a while and have a bastardin pint of 80 without moaning about it!
Besides my place, Duke's and Drouthy's are good for beer selection. I've always been a Perth Road drinker, basically grew up among my older relatives in the Tay Bridge Bar so that always holds a special place despite the Marrs' act of cultural vandalism a few years back...

Should there be another Scottish Referendum in the next 10 years in your opinion or is it something that should take place decades down the line now?

Who's most to blame for where Utd seem to be at as a club at the moment...McNamara or Thompson?
Or both/neither?
I think McNamara. Thompson has made one huge monumental error. We all know what that was. Other than that, I think he's done a good job. Not perfect by any means, who is? But he's brought down the debt significantly and given the manager good dosh to remain competitive on the park.
We just seem rudderless at the moment. I was still on JM's side until very recently. I thought he deserved the chance to re-build and time to do it. TBH the Steve Campbell saga, and JM's part in it, has left me sick. It was the tipping point for me.

Definitely in favour of it. Forgot to mention I also lived in Germany for a short while and went to see SC Freiburg a lot. It makes a massive difference to atmosphere in one key respect - boys will happily turn up to the game an hour before it starts. So the atmosphere builds up to KO. Here boys are still getting another round in at 2.57!
Don't mind where they are Pat as long as the selection is decent!

Sensible Soccer daft mate. Wasn't big on computers in the 80s - too busy outside kicking a ball about.

Cheers Silver, nice of you to say that fella. There's a few boys whose opinions I always take on board on here and you're def one of them chief.
Next manager? Tough one. We've got the squad at the moment I think. What we need is an alpha male type who can instill belief in them to go and fuck teams over on a weekly basis. WHich they can. Kind of like what Alex Neil did with Hamilton last season. Just go and boss teams. it's the teams that want it most that win in this league. We don't have that just now.
I'll come back to you on that!
I defintely had my kilt on that day - it came in handy when hitch-hiking the length of Germany after the game. Cars veering across the Autobahn to pick me up! Picked up by the circus at one state. But that's another story...

Do you think the Waterfront will actually help Dundee or will the whole thing be a massive wet pump, the V & A in particular???

When margins are as narrow as they are then it's not going away I don't think. I believe the cat's out the bag with it. Gonna happen sooner or later. SNP are playing a clever game of playing it down just now to ingratiate themselves into the Westminster system but I'm suer they've got a pplan to hit us with another one soon.

As a kid it was Everton. They had success in Europe at a similar time to us.
Latterly it became West Ham due to friendly connections.
Now I couldn't care less. Haven't watched an English game in about three years and couldn't tell you half the players that play for even the top teams.

McNamara's tactics against St Johnstone.
First time we got the ball on the deck, Dowser hit the post. Then right back to high balls. I was nearly crying with frustration.

Bring back Stevie Campbell. If the manager doesn't like it, pay him off and bring someone else in.
It saddens me so much that we're about to lose a coach who made our youth system the talk of Europe because one man doesn't like him.

Went to see the Sinderins (formerly AMWWF) in my mate's backies on Saturday. Very talented local lads, they deserve to make it.
Best gig is so tough. I'm probably going for Leonard Cohen in Nice. Just incredible. Still owning the stage in his 70s. And his lyrics, just beyond comparison.

Oh, no enough time for my thoughts on this! I want to stay positive, I'm delighted that Dundee is getting some recognition and investment. But why stick it out on the river, on the other side of a dual carriageway? It's like the V&A want it to be separate from Dundee!
They should have built it in the Blackness Industrial Area off Lochee Road. Loads of great industrial buildings just waiting to be renovated and it would have reinvigorated an actual part of the city rather than some reclaimed clump of land half a mile out from the natural shoreline.
