Many thanks Andy.
The 9th match of Round 1 saw a comfortable victory registered for OASIS no.1 Uk hit single from 1996 'Don't Look Back In Anger' and it will now progress through to the 2nd Round as a top seed.Joining it (albeit unseeded) in Round 2 perhaps somewhat surprisingly is 'If You Don't Want Me To Destroy You' by Welsh rockers SUPER FURRY ANIMALS.Eliminated from the tournament are 'One To Another' by The Charlatans and 'Something For The Weekend' by The Divine Comedy.

Great round. I absolutely love Olympian by Gene and am gutted but I'm voting for Live Forever. The best song of that era for me.

Shed Seven - Chasing Rainbows
'Live Forever' is the track that got me into Oasis initially. But over the years i've subsequently found it to be one of the weaker tracks on 'Definitely Maybe'.
Perhaps it's the old case of 'familiarity breeds contempt'?
Not a huge Shed Seven fan by any means but that's a decent track and i like the guitar in it.Classic 'Britpop' IMO (and i can't even explain why).

Suede. Stay Together is just brilliant.
I love this live version from just before Bernard Butler left/was kicked out. What I'd have given to be at that gig...

Is it just me or does Bernard Butler look a tad similiar to a certain Football Manager we all know and *ahem* 'love'?
