What a chance.

See they're there for taking at the back. What a chance there.

Fell to wrong player

My first half report is pass marks for Dillon, Donaldson, Fraser and Spittal and keeper who done well when tested.
Souttar and Erskine hiding somewhere, McGowan wasted in midfield, Dixon and Durnan look very shaky and Muirhead isolated.

Wow, was just wondering whether to go back to bed or not! Last 15 minutes were better. Durnan a mare though. At fault for both goals.

Right at them united. Mon!!!

Souttar and Fraser are class like. Good start

First five mins been very good, Erskine, Dixon and Fraser been really promising.

This is our chance to take points off them here. Don't recognize half their team here.

Poor.

Better after first 30 minutes. Absolutely nay teeth up front though.
They've had a perfect day there. Played the second stringers, not out of second gear.

Much better second half after a terrible first 30 mins against a Celtic reserve side.
Murray, Dow and Connolly played well when they came on, Souttar good second half.
Feel we could have beaten them today, thought their keeper and defence were very dodgy, Griffiths good but other than that they didn't offer much which was to be expected with their cup final coming up on Tuesday.

Thought we were pish poor, a five min first half spell in 90 mins against Celtic reserves is the reality. No leader, no bite in the middle of the park, no pace, no guile and absolutely zero up front. We are in for a very poor season. Having young players is fine with me, persisting with a management team who clearly do not have the ability to get the best out of them is criminal.

Alan Hansen said you will win nothing with kids, he was fucking correct.

This. A decent manager could get something out of those players though. A wide player with pace and a central midfielder who a) actually wants the ball off the back 4 and b) can actually take it and pass the ball onto his own player will be needed for us to improve. McGowan in midfield was embarassing today. He literally gave the ball away every time he had it. Not his fault though, he shouldn't be playing there in the first place.

Shite in the first half better in the second.
Best for me Fraser and Zwick. Connolly did well when he came on, much better from him. Muirhead OK, tuff job he was asked to do on his tod basically. Murray good when he came on, again.
Glad that's over. Feking hate THEM and playing THEM. The gulf has widened to the rest yet again. Buying up all the best young players from the other teams. Looks like the baws burst for abady else. Although Hertz and Sheepshaggers might peg them back for a bit.

Working today so will have to catch some highlights but not surprised at your comment wrt McGowan Lifesanocean.
Can't begin to count how many times I've seen United managers move defenders into midfield when things are going badly.
Can count how many times it's worked though.

Just back to ABZ and watched wee Chesney's half time analysis. He said exactly what I said needed to be done in Post 31 here 2 days ago, ie that we needed to stop them playing from the back. I have now officially lost the plot with our management team's ability to want to turn anything around, as if I can tell you how and who Celtic are going to play, why can't they? I cannot accept my team playing at home and not laying a glove on Celtic fucking reserves FFS. IMO that was a dare to sack me tactical performance.
PS Andy and Chainmail, you made me smile as I looked back at the timeline of the game as you watched it unfold!

McGowan toiling in midfield, Dillon toiling at full back, Durnan toiling at centre half..... management team changed nothing.
Would have been easy to move Dillon to ch, McGowan to rb, and bring on a midfielder earlier, but we didn't bother changing these areas at all.
The management staff, unless I'm badly mistaken, are working their ticket.
Another observation: how/why did Ryan Dow get booked for persistant fouling? Collum pointed all over the pitch before he booked him, indicating this, yet I can't recall a single foul by the player. Collum was, to be polite, inconsistent.

Jeez. What a phuckin day.
All Celtic for the 1st 20 mins. Seemed to get a better hold the 2nd half. We were better when Dowser came on. Possession or lack of it was 1 of the root causes of our performance and the result.
Challenges which Celtic made nearly always resulted in them winning the ball. Bad/loose passing was prevalent. I canna workout who was to blame for this. - the guy playin the pass, or the target player, but in the main, it meant gifting the ball to Celtic.
Own goal was unfortunate, but if Zwick had stopped it, we wouldna got the penalty, coz oe the run oe play and all that, so it evened it out. But we shoulda had a penalty earlier when the Smelsh1t goalie committed a foul and hauled back one of our players in the box.
Collum musta been wearin green knickers, a green bra and a green corset the day.
Muirhead didna see much of the ball. He brought Dowser on when Fraser pulled with what looked a hamstring, but instead of playing him 2 up front we Muirhead, he sat behind.
He shouldve had Erskine off earlier coz he struggled the day. He was one of the main protagonists of the challenge/possession issue. Instead he subs Muirhead. Phuck-up. Murray did see a bit more of the ball than, Muirhead mainly coz Dowser was there and then Connolly came on.
MOTM for me was Zwick, or Connolly had a couple of excellent attempts saved.
Seekened my @rse the day.

Good post Billy.
The more I think about it we were pure shit today, shat it from the first minute.
They were shite at the back and Mulgrew was a liability in midfield and Commons couldn't be fucked.
Their right back, GMS and Griffiths played well, the rest were pish.

Shit, shite, shat and pish in the same post.
My work here is done.

Utter garbage. No other way to describe it.
One positive and one only for me, Zwick.
I'm starting to dislike our manager more and more as the weeks go by. Please for fuck sake, just go.
Oh, and never a pen for me with the Muirhead incident. Keeper never touched him.

I never understand when we take a target man off then put Connolly on.
His ability is to run directly at players then get the cross in.
To who is he supposed to be crossing? Murray is tiny.
This is no criticism of the players involved. Just shocking management / use of subs.
