Glasgow Bin Lorry Crash

Anyone following the inquiry? The catalogue of fuck ups leading up to this tragedy is getting longer and longer. The boy shouldn't have been allowed to ride a bike let alone drive a bin lorry.

He basically lied to get all his last few jobs.

One was driving kids with learning difficulties to school.

I'm sorry but shame on him for taking that job on with the knowledge he had about his black-outs.Could have been a bus load of kids who perished, and not just 6 poor innocents doing xmas shopping.

I know it had been said before this started that no-one would face criminal charges but I suspect families of the victims may soon be putting pressure on for this. The boy was a danger.

He'll never be employed again and will be haunted forever with what happened. His name is also blackened.

Probably the biggest punishment he could face.Doubt the Crown would see it in anyone's interests to pursue criminal charges against him.

Re: Glasgow Bin Lorry Crash

I suspect, from the snippets emerging, that the bloke may have had mental issues over a long number of years.

The one certainty I have is that there is not enough proficiency in the area of mental health, which leads to poor management and care of folk with such problems.

Harry Clark won't be facing criminal proceedings.

He feckin should be facing culpable homicide proceedings based on the evidence, not that it will bring anyone back.

Looks like a Scottish version of the German Wings pilot situation, where patient confidentiality trumps common sense.

Re: Glasgow Bin Lorry Crash

If he doesn't face criminal proceedings it is a disgrace

the guy has been a serial liar for countless years , lying to doctors , councils , employers , the DVLA  for years, he even lied when questioned when he came round after the crash

he never paid the ultimate price , others did. I'm hoping the guilt is burning and hurting him right now. What an arsehole.

the victims families should be taking him on if no one else does.

I'll bet you we all know someone who has one of these medical conditions  but hasn't told the DVLA.

Re: Glasgow Bin Lorry Crash

The driver refused to answer over 250 questions at the FAI today.

I hope the bereaved families succeed with their private prosecution, as The Crown Office have been an absolute disgrace in their handling of this.

Tbf his solicitor would have advised him not to answer any leading questions as it could possibly lead to him leaving himself open to future criminal proceedings. This is still just a legal investigation at this stage remember.

I do feel for the families though. They will be left with no justice at all.

Totally agree with this Tek. The media are making a big song and dance about this but that's why he won't answer any questions about it.
