As someone who likes his dance music I fair enjoyed this. Although if I had a complaint it was that the orchestra played second fiddle to the synth player, drummer and Pete Tong on his decks and mixer.  Thus it ended up sounding too close to the originals rather than putting a new spin on the music.  Still a good listen though.

Is that available as a CD or as a digital download LaO?  Just had a flick through it and it's good.  Not as good as KISS or Metallica, but good!

This is absolutely brilliant! Love dance music.

Only 38 mins into it, will listen to the rest tomorrow.

Foo Kin, THIS makes the proms worth listening to.

Re: United colours of Celtic

Google Youtube to MP3. Try the first link. Dead simple, rips the audio and converts it
Will do it myself tonight.

Re: United colours of Celtic

Dont forget about the movie theme nights on the proms as well.

Still get goosebumps between the 30 second and 50 second mark from this. Could be John Williams greatest 'march' theme.

Re: United colours of Celtic

This threads actually taken a twist. I love dance music that incorporates some of the best classical stuff, always have.

For anyone partial to hiphop on here, you should really check this track oot too!

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6VLSRcKk3go

They've sampled Vivaldi's Four Seasons in a tribute to hip hop history.

The track has rap, rock and classical fused together into 7 mins 22 seconds of something very special.

My toddlers favourite tune for 3 years and counting.

Edit to say- I'm quick to hit repeat afore the bairn hears the last chat on the track!

That's pretty good too. Mike Shinoda is actually very talented as well, have outgrown his band Linkin Park years ago, but he recently started doing movie scores now as well. His best so far is for the U.S. And English Version of The Raid. Great film and soundtrack, worth a watch and a listen.

The director kept the original Indonesian soundtrack for the foreign market, that is also very good.

Also I like the way this thread has turned out, what could have been a potential car crash thread has actually turned out to be very entertaining, without being condescending and abusive to each other. I like to think that's what makes this forum different from the others.

Keep up the good work people!

Tried to copy it to MP3 as I suggested earlier but its not working due to video length.  There are a few other vids which have been broken into 3 parts, but they are not working because they are copyrighted.  FFS.

On the plus side, Im watching it now and thon Ella Eyre's just come on.

Re: United colours of Celtic

All my life until very recently I was into country music - listening, playing, presenting, promoting, etc. But my musical taste has changed lately. I now greatly enjoy the sounds of Andre Rieu and his Johan Straus Orchestra. We are booked for his December concert in Liverpool. This clip is from a performance in Maastricht, his hometown, the audience participation is amazing.
