Not really news to anyone. Not on the social media anyhow so not sure where the "he's walking" thing came from. Didn't read it on here.

"A civil war has broken out among the fans after the Federation of Dundee United Supporters’ Clubs issued a statement on Monday stating they were “very concerned” by Campbell’s suspension as the club continue to lead an internal investigation."
And McNamara admits it makes for a far-from ideal situation. He said: “It’s never nice. It’s been like that for a while now.
"It's been like that for a while now". Mibbee I'm reading between the lines, but wondering what he means by that reference to Stevie Campbell.

"I'm not about to start panicking because we've had one bad result"
Have you been in a Fucking coma fae January Jackie?
On a more serious note, I have a bit of sympathy for him and any other player or manager when it all gets personal. I hate when the name calling etc starts, it's unfair imo. I want him and the other 3 out asap but that doesn't make them clowns, Dicks,or wankers. Must be pretty hurtful to read or hear about yourself getting referred to like that when all you're doing is trying to do your best.

"My focus hasn’t changed. It is on getting the best out of the players. Again it’s a challenge, but it’s one I’m ready to face. I’m not going to start panicking because we’ve had one bad result.”
One bad result. Erm no Jackie. It's a bit more than that.

This is sadly symptomatic of the Scottish weedgia in their dealings with our Manager. He obviously has many many friends in it, that the story can be turned on its head. What they should be doing is asking the Manager about things that are fairly and squarely on his doorstep, that we the paying support have been seeking answers to for some time, that have led to the social media backlash, like:
1. Fitness
2. Tactics
3. Formation
4. Signings that go AWOL; or never play
5. Injuries
6. Not learning from mistakes
7. Predictability of playing style
So come on Messers English, Spiers etc, how about it?

Any of yous listened to this? Jesus fuck.

If it was just a case of "one bad result" no-one would be calling for his head. I think fans are intelligent enough to differentiate between one bad result and a run of pisspoor form which has lasted since February. He's just trying to spin his way out of this with the help of his ignorant media pals.

He gets such an easy ride from the media.
Don't know if it's because he's a 'nice guy' or always approachable to journalists or what.
Compare to Tommy Craig a year ago who was getting scrutinised in the media every week.

I guess his Celtic past has helped, but I think its more to do with what passes for sports journalism up the road. Half these guys just do not want to criticise anyone they have regular contact with. Richard Wilson on Sportsound talking about Rangers banning McLaughlan refused to criticise the club for banning a colleague.
No one has asked if McNamara under achieve when he had the dream team - a side everyone agreed was one of the best in the country, but twice he failed to get into Europe due to being comprehensively outcoached by Tommy Wright essentially - and the fact that this is now the third extended period where he has been unable to lift the team out of a losing funk. Instead they all go back to the laziness of "well, you can't sell those players and do it again and again".
But to be fair, bar maybe Tom English, I don't think any of our media are capable of asking those sorts of questions about anyone up here.

Saturday even in isolation was still poor and a significant dip from our okayish performances so far this season but with young players it can and probably will happen a few times more so you could give him the benefit of the doubt on that. But, since January its just a continuation of the spineless stuff we have seen several times. Saturday was not just one game or 'a bad day at the office' for fans:
It was the straw that broke the camels back.

I'm reading this as a "sack me or back me" cry for help.
He's saying there is a lot of uncertainty, bad blood etc etc but he's doing his best.
So the chairman has to come out and publicly state that Jackie is doing a good job and he's here for the long term, or he sacks him.
I think we need either of those things in order to move on.

Is there a way back for jackie with the fans though?
Ive been wanting rid of him for months now as has many others.
If our board came out and said thry are backing him will that get fans onside? Nope. Majoritys monds are made up.
Its time to go

You'd have to ask Jackie that, but I would imagine so. He's just ran out of ideas.

So you inagine jackie tries his best?
If this is his best we have witnessed then he is a terrible football manager. We are lacking fight all over we have been for ages theres no motivation fron our manager nothing.

Well yeah, I'd imagine he is. I would also hope so too.
Sometimes your best is still not good enough tho.

For me this is the rusty nail on my heid. I've been a fence sitter for a long time, reluctant to speak against folk at the Club. But the 'breeze' of a win for the Accies has been enough to loose my balance.
This 1 up front is just no working. Might be OK if it was Messi or Ronaldo, but for us, it's no been working for a while now.

I don't think the fans would except the board saying that, and I don't think Jackie wants that. He keeps going from one stupid comment to another.
Knee jerk to one bad result is a fucking joke, we've not played well for half a year.
I think he wants sacked, wants to get the fuck out of Tannadice and tell everyone how he worked wonders and had all his best players sacked behind his back etc.
He has to want out, otherwise his comments are delusional.

I don't get the rage at him standing on the touch line and not going mental. Maybe that's his nature? When Lennon used to go bananas on touch line folk used to call him every name under the sun.
There are lots of reasons to get angry at Jackie but his demeanour on the touch line isn't one of them.
Saying that it is time to get rid. However, if the club publicly backed him I'd give him breathing space. I doubt other would though. As soon as the contract stuff was announced then that was that for a lot of folk. I reckon that there will be outrage after every defeat until it forces the hand of the club

Yeah its been months ive been wwnting him out.
He cant get the team motivated at all time and time again
We cant defend simple things like failing to close the opposition down
Nae width
Same formation
Fitness being a big thing thrown about in pre season plenty yet we dont look fit again
He has failed as a manager.
He wants out but wont walk as he wants the payout
