thompson

Once again a major issue is within our club and that bastard is nowhere to be seen or heard.
Instead of fucking off on another jolly days after suspending someone who has been a major figure within the development of many footballers in recent years at Dundee United dont you think you could have stayed here to see things over wih the investigstion??
Oh yeah because the decision had already been made up before you boarded your flight what the outcome would be.
Your a cunt of a man.

You know there has been issues with jackie and stevie for some time and done fuck all.

Its about time people started taking there heads out the sand here and we stand together and get these fucking muppets out our club.

Re: thompson

He took the credit and adulation when it was due and boosted good feeling within the club and Scottish fitba.
No matter how justified he feels when the tide turned justifiable or not, leaving us all without a leader does no good.
Have some balls ST and deal with what needs dealt with!

He might surprise us yet. Time will tell. If he recovers trust then he will have directed the club to a re constructed level on a par with oor Pat,  George n' Jum!

Re: thompson

As I've already said on another thread Thompson is likely to sit on any appeal so could have no part in the investigation.

Re: thompson

Flying away to Oz in the midst of the club imploding makes him look like an absolute coward in my book.

Re: thompson

If he's on a fucking jolly while all this shit is going on then it just shows what he thinks of the club !

I love watching United on arabzone...

I don't usually pass comment on the running of the club because facts are hard to judge at this online level.

Performance and tactics are easier to comment on but again tactics are whinged at on sight of performance.

We don't usually have a clue when whinging but base all on outcome!

We are often wrong but glaicit to what has been asked.
If ST continues to ignore oor worries then all
the reasons I hold back on for the want of facts before friction are wasted in hope of what's best for UTD.

His silence and apparent lack of leadership is not good all round and subsequently justifies all negative suppositions.

Lead the club or let Justine do what yer not willing to!

That is what Eddie wanted all along.

ST won't hand over the reigns though and relinquish his 6 figure salary as Chair though. Not a fucking chance.

A fucking slippery bastard.

Re: thompson

We wil no doubt read another statement written by some cunt else that tells us we are lucky to have been in cup finals recently.

Cheers for the reminder AGAIN

Re: thompson

Wee Jim and Eddie both made their mistakes when they were chairmen, one criticism you could never aim at them is that they didn't care.

At the moment it appears ST doesn't care anymore, the amount of time spent overseas when the club is in obvious decline and lack of any communication with supporters is appalling.

100% agree with this, you buy the club, you make the decisions and sometimes you'll get them wrong but recently it feels like its one fuck up after another on and off the field and nobody is doing anything about it.

Re: thompson

Can't see for one minute that things would be any different under Justine.

TBH with the exception of the Levein/Houston era and the massive success that the youth set up has become again then the whole Thomson era has been pretty poor, certainly not lived up to the expectation Eddie built up in the support.

Not sure what the solution is tho.

Re: thompson

Long time reader, first time poster. Can only agree with what's being said at the moment. How anyone can see any positives in what is going on at the moment is beyond me.

Jackie has lost the fans, lost the players and his record since January is worthy of the punt at any club. That sums it up for me and if the chairman/board can't see that then there is something seriously wrong at that level aswell.

The cost of a relagation fight/possible relagation, lower crowds etc is surely going to hit the club harder in the pocket than paying off those three clowns?

Do the right thing!

Welcome to the forum Dirk and a great first post.  You are spot on. The only problem is Jackie seems to have Stephen Thompson, Justine and Southern under his spell and they are not going to be sacking him any time soon I think.

Too much commotion

Re: thompson

Can ST sack mcnamara over a situation which is largely ST doing?

Don't get me wrong - im no fan of jackie and never really got caught up in the love in there was for him a season ago. Whether he landed lucky or not with Gms and Armstrong isn't really the point - the point is that he had the rug pulled from under him by ST.

In saying that, I think jackies teams largely lack dig and fight.
They lack athletic ability
They lack a club doctor (maybe not jackies fault) who can diagnose injuries and treat then properly
They lack adaptability - as jackie has only a plan a

To me, the side we have looks like hearts of 3 years ago, when they cut costs to a minimum and played kids - the season they went down. Now, we can all see hearts have something pretty special coming through now.....but you  need the fans to buy into that en mass if it's going to work....

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Re: thompson

The team is too soft. We get played off the park and commit 5 fouls in 90m.
During the Derby it was 2 fouls in the 1st half.
JM played alongside some excellent physical players, Hartson, Sutton & Balde these sort of players are essential in the SPL.
The fact that JM has failed to sign any player who could be described as a nasty bastard will bring about his downfall.
How many more hammerings can he survive?

Nothing influences and spreads better through a team needing to step up than a showing of complete determination.

A skilful player can do a trick or 2 and get the crowd on its feet but a totally committed player can get the whole team going and the crowd up too. Psycho was my favourite and I know he wid be aff the park these days but hard but fair can still be done.

Backing of and just doing yer job is pish.
At least charge them down and threaten a solid fair challenge for fuck sake!

We are becoming a tactical and physical  lame duck.
Sussed before kickoff and bullied all over the pitch.

Re: thompson

I believe there are major changes happening in the boardroom which is the main reason ST is looking for another club to run. ST is showing no leadership at the moment which is very unsual for a previous vocal chairman which would make me hazzed a guess that he is infact no longer the leader. Whatever is going on behind the scenes needs sorted asap with someone willing to grab the reigns with a firm grip.
