Irrespective of whether it's true or not though, she obviously believes that. If that was me I'd come out fighting as well.
I'd probably regret it once I'd calmed down. It seems she does too because her Facebook account has been deleted.
Come out fighting, fair enough. Saying I'm gonna tell all the bad things about the club that have happened while my husband has worked there and put it on the internet seems a bit childish for a middle aged woman. Seems to be the way of the world just now right enough.
I think that's right. Whatever the truth of the situation, to come out all guns blazing on Facebook is not a good idea.

Was gonna post earlier that Stephen Thompson has to show leadership here and deal with this crisis head-on and address the situation (and the fans).
Then i heard he flew to Australia yesterday.
The club is yet again caught up in some form of scandal and the Chairman is either on a beach or trying to purchase another football club on the other side of the World.
A fucking sham.He obviously gives zero fucks now as he has his exit strategy in place.
Mind when Home and Away only referred to the fixture list?

Mind when the Chairmanship of Dundee United FC was an unbelievable privilege and not instead deemed an 'annoyance'?

You're looking at it from a detached, rational perspective though. With no emotional involvement in the situation. As Heggy says, when you're right in the middle of it, seeing people trying to ruin your husband's reputation you're hardly likely to view it with much measured thought.
Even if you don't agree with her writing it, surely you can understand why she felt so angry and moved to do it?

Totally. I understand her doing it. There's other ways to skin a cat though.

Tbh Tek I don't think he'd be in any position to comment on the current situation (I'm assuming your referring to SC) - Thompson would likely be on the panel if there was to be an appeal should any disciplinary action be taken - until (and most likely after) the process is finished he'll need to avoid any comment like the plague.
Not sure therefore that having him around makes much difference.
Obviously the whole Aussie/ST/ownership issue is a different kettle of fish, but don't want to go OT on this thread.

Is Justine not in charge now anyway?
Don't see what ST going to Australia has to do with anyone other than hin tbh

Is ST still taking 180K out the club?

No idea. Is he?

Still chairman and last time I checked still holding the majority of Thompson family shares.
Reckon Justined being lined up to take over though but probably the Thompsons less involved with the day to day stuff (which is why I assume Southern brought in?)
Fwiw Jim Spence has kickes off his column in the Courier with a piece on the SC situation.
He's confirmed the rift with Macnamara and says "the rift between Campbell and United looks to be as wide as the mouth of the Tay"
Would expect. Jim to have inside info on this and as a united man not to make things up so safe to say situation not looking good.

That says to me it's a rift between Campbell and United. Could be Jackie too but the "9 years of truths" from his missus seems to back that up. Either way it's still no good. I remember my only concern about Stevie Campbell was if I'd get a decent tip on a Friday for delivering his Roy of the Rovers.
Yeah, might be wrong but could well be the end of the relationship between United and Campbell - don't have a copy of the paper to hand (was reading it while having a coffee /waiting for the wife) but recall Spencie talking about a "breakdown in trust", though he wasn't clear on which side (maybe both?).

If this can be reduced down to two opposing camps, I think this puts Spencey firmly on Campbell's side.
Lots to interpret from reading between the lines here. He seems to know a lot more than he's willing/allowed to put to print.
Offline
Spence will know every detail of what's went on. . . . certainly Campbells side of the argument anyway. You can bet your arse that Jim's had a wee cuppa we Steve.
The one thing that seems clear, is that there is no way back for Campbell. As the piece states, the trust has been broken.
Just remember guys, there is ALWAYS two sides to a story. It's too easy to jump in the Campbell camp here, without really knowing the full facts. There are people who have hung, drawn, and quartered JM and ST already, that's simply unfair.
It'll all come out in the wash, that I'm sure of.

good read that. I saw he'd said he was going to weigh in on this and was expecting something a little more leaning towards the club.
Think you're right Silver that he'd have sat down with Stevie. There is obviously more to this than a "rift" though. Has to be something specific. I reckon Spence will know what it is but he'll be walking a tight rope given he'll need future access to United and all that.
You watching the golf after the game Silver? quality tourney so far

You bet I am mate, loving it. Some setting too!
My man Day is on fire, although I don't have a bet on him, I'd love him to win. My 2 bets are Kaymer and Snedeker.
Hope things are good with yourself bud.

Day playing the best golf by a mile. Would love to see him win it, always paps it though. Best not derail the thread any further

Apparently it will be announced tomorrow that Stevie Campbell has been sacked.
Offline
Hope they're big enough to announce why.
If it turns out its in anyway to do with Jackie then it's gonna get real messy real quick.

If Celtic score early next week the atmosphere will be toxic.

They absolutely MUST give details around this. I'm in Campbell's corner right now pending the facts, if they sack without disclosing why, there might very well be hell on TEK.
I'll add, better be a fucking peach of a reason behind it.

I get the feeling the club might just give it the 'gross misconduct' line in a carefully guarded statement.
I hope i'm wrong though and we are given the facts of why he's been removed from his duties.
