Hamilton at home thread

After the international break the lads should be well rested. Hamilton have started well so it'll be tough but a win would set us up nicely for the derby.

2-1 united.

United v Hamilton

Re: Hamilton at home thread

Dillon,Souttar and Armstrong could all be back in the squad on Saturday.

I think if we score first we will win.If they score first it could be a struggle, they actually look good at picking teams off and hitting on the counter.

I'm gonna go for a hard fought 3-1 win.

Re: Hamilton at home thread

Hamilton play a different kind of football to what they did last time, before they went out not to lose games, now they go out to win them so I don't think it is the case of not letting them score first then they'll just sit back.

Re: Hamilton at home thread

Re: Hamilton at home thread

Any win will do, but hopefully we'll see us step up our level a bit.  We've lacked fluency so far this season and for most of the game against Ross Count, played like 11 individuals all trying to be the one to make something happen out of nothing and ending up looking really disjointed.  Somebody will pick us off eventually if we keep playing like that.

Too much commotion

Re: Hamilton at home thread

working on saturday barring lottery win today so won't get there. Predict a difficult game for utd, hamilton look an organised outfit and may well be hard to break down. Patience from utd fans as shown at the ross county game is a must, that said an early goal for utd could change how hamilton play and may open the game up.
A narrow win for utd i think, anything more a bonus.

Mad is currently clogged up with independence threads and threads about arguments about the board being clogged up with independence threads.  Nothing wrong with talking about independence, just don't know why they don't make use of an off-topic board.  Folk have tried it there and it never takes off.  Every thread there just ends up in a total barny these days.  It is impossible to follow nowadays and the duplication of threads is really tiresome.  You'd need to be on there 24/7 and 365 days a year to know half of what the many arguments/'banter' on it are about.  Its a shame because it can be entertaining and have good debates when it wants.  Tommy Dunne's Austin stuff is comedy gold at times.

Re: Hamilton at home thread

I reckon it'll be a close call with a defensive reshuffle resulting in the loss of a couple of goals.  3-2 United though with Erskine notching another

Re: Hamilton at home thread

If we win on Saturday and Caley drop points Dundee United could be (statistically) the top club in Scottish Fitba on the 1st day of Scottish Independence.

I likes the sound of that.

Re: Hamilton at home thread

Can't believe where Accies are sitting, saw them at Oban and they looked like a Junior team.

No, Accies and Alloa played their 1st teams.

And Alloa looked better.

They look an okay side. With our missing players we might struggle.

Re: Hamilton at home thread

Armstrong must play today.

Underestimating Accies would be folly on our part.

Strongest XI available for every SPL game.Had our fingers burnes with tinkering last season.

Utd arenae that good tae be 'resting' our players.

Re: Hamilton at home thread

Looking forward to getting back to business now the break is out the road and a few hours without referendum sounds good to me!!

Will be a hard game they will sit in and make it difficult for us but hoping for a 2-1 win as I think they will score today but we should have enough going forward

Re: Hamilton at home thread

Armstrong seemingly aggrivated his injury during the week in a closed doors game and is no better than 50/50.
