Heard he's been suspended by the club. Surprised it's taken so long considering how much dislike there is between mcnamara and stevie.

Didn't know they had any issues between them and cannae see how they can suspend him for them not getting on, noticed it was Bo that took the Dev team in the Wee derby mind.

Didn't he just sign a new long term contract which I assume was sanctioned by the manager?

It was rumoured for ages leading up to his new contract mate. Just rumours mind you. To be a fly on the wall eh?

Tbh i don't know what it was like. I do know that relationships between stevie and Jackie have been strained for a good while. He did just sign a new contract but again tbh think the club felt pressured into giving him it funnily enough after that infamous meeting with the gang of 18 and the board.

Btw, I hope I'm wrongabout this. Just passing on info I received tonight. Don't know the reason either why he has been suspended.

Hooked a member of staff; something happened at the youth players "digs" and a parent made a complaint

Stevie is the longest serving employee at the club on the football side of things and was also good enough to answer our questions on here.

Idle speculation about him and his employ doesn't sit as well with me as other folk who are perhaps just 'passing through' the club.

My point is football forums run on speculation, everyones fair game, just because you like him dosen't mean people shouldn't speculate, especially giving the amount of speculation on the board over the past 6 months. Laughable to suggest such a stupid thing. The chairman, the manger, the players are all fair game, but the head f our youth development isn't because you like him and he answered a few question for your site.

I do like him yes.I also rate him as a very good coach and an excellent employee for Dundee Utd these past few seasons.

I am not stopping anyone giving their opinion on him...fill your boots.

But posts like 'he hooked someone' and 'a parent complained' are a bit reactionary (and that's not a dig at Waffelz btw) until we get some or any facts.

It doesn't matter if you like someone or not, there is always going to be rumours and speculation, but I think there has to be a line drawn where it can be inflammatory speculation.

If the suggestion is correct then it could potentially lead to dismissal and police charges with serious repercussions to all parties involved, and if it's not then you just end up looking like a bunch of fannies.

These type of rumours and speculation is not just harmless gossip, not for the man, any other people involved and not the club.

Please let me know what positives can come out of this matter by talking about it, before any facts have been released officially.

Been reading on social media that he's supposed to have punched one of the youth team.

Think that rumour needs put to bed now. The idea that he would do something like that is completely ridiculous.

I would imagine the rumour has been substantiated by the players, he probably deserved a rap in the jaw
