I doubt it was his decision. He wanted to sign him and bids were submitted. The chairman obviously decided at that time that he wasn't willing to bid higher than what we already had.

We might still get him yet.Though i'd say it's a slim chance.
If he's coming to Scotland it would only be between Utd,Aberdeen,Hearts and Sevco.
It will be dependant on somehow moving on the likes of Anier,Szromnik etc first though.Which will not be easy.

Might be his wages are a sticking point - presume he had a three year deal so while he's maybe keen to get out of Wigan he's maybe not so keen at the thought of watching his paycheq shrink?
Might be worth waiting to see if no one comes in for him and taking him on loan.

It said in the Courier/Tully on Friday that whilst Anier was seeking a move, it might not be Partick. So fuck knows.

I've been wondering what's goin on we Anier an all m8, but was told by another m8 of mine who was at the Tannadice Open Day sayed that Anier was there. I wasna there myself, but mibbee somebody could confirm ?

Looking at our team, I'm not so sure we need a slow striker. Fair enough he's a goal scorer, but we're not exactly creative. If we had to buy one position, for me it has to be a fast winger.

You are correct about that, he is slow, which may be why he's struggled down south with the athleticism required at all levels. A speedy winger would be welcomed.

He was at the game on Saturday. Sat in left hand side of stand.
