We have potentially struck gold with this kid.
At 0-0 he made two great one-on-one stops on the deck. Positioning, narrowing his angles and staying big were textbook.
Showed great agility for the header to tip it over too.
Still canna get over his save from Deeney against Watford. To not only stop that but also get it up and over the bar is really top level stuff.
No bad for a kid playing in Germany's fifth tier a year ago!

Agreed.
So far, so good. He's a good decision maker. Hopefully the first of many clean sheets.

Very early days, but looking at the highlights yesterday he certainly looks a Goalkeeper.
It's one position that i am very anxious about throwing a kid into...but i am very very happy for those fears to be allayed on a weekly basis.
Liking the cut of the big German's jib.

It's brilliant that this guy has turned out to be good as I was seriously worried, I would still like another back up keeper incase of injury or suspension.

I made a statement a couple of weeks before the season started that people should stop panicking about the keeper situation and give the lad the benefit of any doubt.
Early days as you say, but the lad's made a very assured start. I feel a lot more confident about the whole back 4 in the 2 games we've played so far than I did at any point last season.

We started with 2 clean sheets last season though and Morris and Jaro looked very good together.
3rd game Celtic put 6 (going on 10) past us.
Let's just take a game at a time and see where it takes us.

OK then mate.

Yeah he looks good keeper as has been said early days but he seems confident also. Big help with the centre backs also.

Some of the stick you gave Jackie on other boards around the goalkeeper situation is embarrassing. It's good to see you eating your words

Jackie and the goalkeeper coach have done well to pluck this guy from obscurity. I like what I've seen so far and yesterday's clean sheet can't b underestimated.

This guy and Durnan look like they have played top league for years.
I'm liking Fraser too.

We have no back up keeper for Zwick and JM stated his priorities were signing a new keeper and CH, he never signed a new keeper and if Zwick gets injured we are up the shit.

but obviously zwick proved he was up to it so he didn't need to sign a new keeper. If we had been signing a new keeper, it would have been a first choice keeper. The back up we have right now is no less a calibre from what we have had for a long time. We have three maybe four back up keepers so I wouldn't want us to waste money on another. It's quite the norm in our league to have only one first team standard keeper.

Zwick was here last season so he would have already formed an opinion on Zwick but he still made the statement about signing a replacement for Rado!

We should have signed an experienced keeper and Billy McKay,Neur could well have been our number 1 but we still needed a no13 ,so far Jackie is getting away with it because Stevie Campbell keeps coming up trumps.with the young guns.
I dont know if you are aware of this Creme but Stevie is a salaried employee of DUFC and does not share in the Stra Hat and Trumpet perties in ST Andrews when we sell players and Jackie and the boys pocket a small fortune. If anyone at Tannadice deserves a cut of future transfer fees its Campbell rather than the ST Andrews party animals.

Did Stevie Campbell not just sign a new contract? Who is to say he didn't get a similar bonus scheme written into his contract?

Lets give the Arklay St lollipop man a share as well and those who grow FN cabbages in the allotments behind the ET stand a cut too.Would you be happy after seeing the team ripped to shreds if we maybe hang onto 25% of the money we are compensated with?.

It was you, not me, saying Campbell is the one who should be getting a cut so I dont really get your last comment nor am I going to discuss it further. This thread is about our new first choice keeper so rather than hijacking this thread, let's ger back on topic. I'm interested to know how it came abou that he ended up at Tannadice

His Father (who acts as his agent) wrote the club an email offering to come over for a trial.
His family paid for his flights and keep the whole of last season as he was technically on trial all season as an amateur.
Very impressed when i heard that. He's shown real dedication to make it at Utd.
