Feeling far more optimistic about the Derby now after our hard fought win today and the Dee's capitulation at home against the Jam Tarts.
I would like to see us play the same starting line-up as today at Fir Park.
Think the subs we made today had such an impact because all 3 young players can add energy in the closing stages.
What team and formation would you like to see?

Has to be 442/4411 from now on. Telfer doesn't deserve to be near the team. Would play Muirhead plus one for the attacking roles. Wouldn't start Connolly just yet

Hard to pick a best team right now when I think our best line up by the end of the season isn't our fittest right now but rekon that the Dark Terror will start and possibly score.
Derby will be high tempo and a bit scrappy no doubt and we need to get right in about them from the start.
Dees were nulified when Hearts closed them down quick according to reports so we will probably have 5 in the midfield and a lone striker.
I'll guess that we will go for the same starting line up as today and only change formation if chasing the game in the last 20 mins.
Well timed results today for us and the Dees.
They were being compared to 1970's Brazil last week and we were on a 6 game loosing streak.

The support will have more of an influence than usual. Must get right behind the team.

Difficult to know what formation the management will go for: 442 served us well in the first part of the last Tannadice derby, and we don't have the same players who were suited to JMacs preferred one up front.
I'm hoping he goes with two players such as Muirhead and Bilate (if fit ) but think he'll probably stick with the formation which frustrates many of us.
It's more difficult to predict this one than usual, but I'll go for a clear two goal victory margin for United, Spittal and Muirhead at least scoring. If they score, I'll add Murray to the home goal scorers.

Bilate definitely out so if one up presumably between Bodul and Muirhead
Would prefer 4-4-2 as current formation not creating enough chances but doubt he'd change for this game

3-1 United Bodul,Durnan and Spittal

Can't see anything other than a 4231 to start with tonight. Mark the boy Stewart out the game and we as good as win, don't particularly rate many of their other players in all honesty.
I do think we will miss Bilate's presence up front assuming he is again injured but still confident we will get the result regardless.
2-0 Erskine and Bodul.

They are no as good as their DEEluded fans think they are, we're no as bad as most of our fans think we are. Should be a close game.

Great footwork and compusre for the first, and excellent ball and finish for the second. Good changes from JM and Erskine had done well in both goals.
Good sub bringing on Telfer for Bodul. Need to just kill the game now.

only saw second half bowers and missed their equalizer. They were sh1te but as soon as Stewart scored it got very twitchy.
Gutted but some good things to be taken from second half going forward.
Remember we were the tips of their goalies gloves and the underside of the bar from having that dead and buried.

What a fuckin geme BTW. Seek at the last kick equaliser, but a dra was right.
