As for loyalty, we all know there is fuck all loyalty shown in football.

Anyone of us would do the exact same thing to get a move to the club we love.

Imo, if it happened to be a Motherwell or a Hearts that he went to, nothing would be said. You're upset because it's Sevco mate.

He's just played his first full season of consistent fitba at 24 years old, and that's in Scotland's 2nd tier.

His career was passing him by... Hibs and Stubbs saved it alright IMO.

Re: Scott Allan

Utd should throw in a cheeky 250k bid just to ramp up the pressure on the Huns.

Re: Scott Allan

Can't agree with that. So if hibs didn't sign him, no one would've signed him? On the scrapheap? Nae danger. It happened to be hibs that signed him, but he would've got a club without a doubt.

I half agree with you here bud. I honestly do think we wanted him, and probably push the boat out to get him. . . . But I'm certain the club got wind that Allan wasn't interested in coming here. Let's face it, he has bigger fish to fry than Utd.

Re: Scott Allan

Sly Sports just showed an interview with Alan Stubbs, and he said that they wan to win the Championship, and don't want to do a deal with Rangers who are their main rivals, and that is their stand on it.

He was coming to us in Jan if the club paid the price that we refused to pay silver so imo no ambiion to really sign him bud.

The question is, how much would it have taken for Hibs to sell in January?

250k was dismissed out of hand. Go much higher than that and it's not ambition, it's mental.

I didn't say no one would have signed him.

But it was Hibs who signed him and Stubbs has got him playing well.

He's certainly got him back 'on track' if saving his career is too dramatic a phrase.

Previously he had been described by his boss at Birmingham Lee Clark as having a bad attitude and being lazy.

So he has a lot to thank Hibs for imo as he was going nowhere.

Bit like Nads signing for us.Career was passing him by and we re-ignited it.

Re: Scott Allan

I have no real interest in what happens to Scott Allan but if Sevco got nearly a million for thon boy they sold in Jan then that's exactly what Hibs should be asking for. This is all huff and puff by Sevco. They're fucking skint and and will no way stump up that dough. If, as being suggested by the media, Allan is trying to push the deal through by asking for a transfer then I am glad we are well shot of him and I wouldn't want him anywhere near Tannadice

Hands in transfer request at Hibs.

What a prick he is. Glad he is nowhere near Tannadice.

A trouble maker

Re: Scott Allan

I have settled on a couple takes with this whole thing.

United were never in with a shout of signing him, I believe they knew that.  Pathetic in my opinion.

Scott Allan can get to f uck.  To be honest, I really dont care if he goes to Rangers at this point.  I think he is a good player but he's clearly a little scrote.

Re: Scott Allan

"Hibernian's position has not changed. The player will not be sold to Rangers."

Doesn't sound as though they're planning to hang on to him though....Aberdeen bound maybe?

I've heard that United had offered more than Sevco have plus Paton. Don't see how you can label that pathetic.

Agree with your 2nd point but he's not as good as he thinks he is

Is that true?  My understanding of the situation is that they weren't able to get it done in january and knew it would take something special to pry him away here in the summer & came in with a similar offer to the one knocked back in January?  By the way, I wouldnt want United bidding daft money for Scott Allan.  Just think the whole thing was a massive waste of time and question the sincerity.

On top of that, f ucking sick of being linked to past players, i've never known out like it.  Absolutely everyone we've once sold or let go has been linked with us this summer.  Whether it's fan or club speculation we have to move past that.

Re: Scott Allan

Don't know if it's true but I heard we offered in region of 350k and Paton. It could be shite.

Don't think he would come to us in any case. I don't think Hibs would sell for that either.

You're spot on about us not making stupid bids for players.

Re: Scott Allan

see if that was true, id take that if I was Hibs, dont think we should be offering that kind of money for him though.

Re: Scott Allan

I think he'll end up at Sevco but it'll be on Hibs terms. They'll not be taking 200k.

Re: Scott Allan

It won't matter who bids or how much, he won't accept any other move other than them, to be quite honest he has shown himself to be the money money chasing wannabe he always has been and I'm glad he is nowhere near Tannadice.

According to one of his teammates he too good for us anyway. He did after all score a goal v Dunfermline in pre season.

The lad Stevenson doesn't actually mention Utd tbf.

Classic case of a journo twisting someone's words for the purpose of a sensationalised headline.

Re: Scott Allan

I may be wrong but it feels like Scott Allan Stevie May Billy MaKay rumours were all put out by the club to fool us into thinking there was ambition at the club and to assist season ticket sales.
