Of course, on a board and in general, folk are entitled to their footballing opinions, even if they are ridiculously negative.

However, it's doom and gloom predictions and constant negativity by certain posters that make people leave a club message board. I find it difficult reading posts on United Mad without getting fed up with the amount of psh directed at players who have hardly had a chance to prove themselves e.g. Murray, Zwick, Muirhead or the repetitive bashing of the management team.

It seemed a simple enough task and template to complete in the original topic. At least fill it out and predict bottom 6 if that's your gut feeling. Would be interesting to look back and see who was right.

For what it's worth, I think J Mac will have united playing good stuff and we'll comfortably finish top 6.

Poty - souttar (if he isnt sold)
Ypoty - souttar (if he isnt sold)

Quick question.  Quite a few have Erskine as our top scorer, I think Erskine is a tidy enough player when he is on but wouldnt say he's a real impact player.  Those that picked him... was that more an indictment on how many goals we might score as a unit?

For me, I was guessing on past proven form. Ok there are some newbies at the club who potentially might do the biz and leave Erskine in their wake, but they weren't excessive scorers at previous clubs. Erskine was best of the rest I think (after Ciftci) at United last season. Going for Bodul, etc., may turn out correct, but so far he has proved nothing other than "could be." Of course I want the newbies to transform United, but my assessments were based on what I know, rather than wishful thinking. Would love it if Boads or Dave regularly rip the net at Tannadice and beyond!

Jeez, so it does. I came bottom in our local pub prediction league as well.  Know nothing..................

Don't worry about it Pat, it's not the first time I have been wrong and certainly won't be the last, but at least you can't knock our optimism
