We didn't create many chances but tbh we'll not playing against teams like Watford every week. Chances will come as the team and new players start to know each other's games. It's more important that we are solid at the back tbh

Agree with most on here. No killer punch or cutting edge. Where are the goals gonna come fae? Worrying.
Wasn't a bad performance, it was just ok.
Souttar is class. Anybody else think he's still overweight
Connelly? What do we do with him? Flatters to deceive I'm sorry to say. Bit part player at best again this season, or even better, put him out on loan.

silver eh think would benefit connolly to go out on loan said it last week.

Connolly Paton and Murray hurted my eyes.
Why the fuck was Muirhead on the wing?
New Croatian boy some nice touches , same with Donaldson , Durnan and Fraser.
Here's the thing
WE LOOK LIKE WE WILL NEVER EVER FUCKING SCORE

Souttar does look like he's carrying a bit extra.

As usual after a game, was out for a slosh. So after a few dinnae want to rabble on.
Think SGMilne has given a pretty good overview of the match IMO, so I'll just add a wee bit to his.
Zwick was Slick with a 2 brilliant saves one right after the other in the 1st half. He got the crowd going. He also made a superb save 2nd half from a shot to the bottom left, knocking it to the left into the hoarding.
Their goal was a cross from a stupid free-kick (the Watford player fell over the ba), but nobody seemed to go for the cross so in it went.
Fraser, Darko, Dillon and Dixon all made some great turns on the ball when challenged. It was noticable throughout the game. There was some great shot quick passing between Darko, Dixon, Connolly, but agree struggled partly coz he was for a lot of the time, up against a guy that was 6 foot odds esp. the 1st half.
Periods in each half (10 mins in the 1st) when Murray never got a touch. He lost possession a lot oe the time to their defenders mainly coz he was outnumbered being on his own. (Mario wasna any better TBH). This 1 up top thing isna working. But he did chase the ball down a lot when they were passing back to their keeper.
Performance improved when changes made about the hour-mark as SG says. Erskine, Bilate, Telfer, Ranks and Spit came on for Durnan, Donaldson, Murraymints, Shagatron and Connolly.
Best chance of the game for us was the last kick of the ball. Spittal right-foot shot from left to right just wide of the post by less than a foot. Their keeper was beat, and if i#t had been between the sticks it was in. Ref blew right after.
Soapy was MOTM for me.
We did well to hold our own against them (with exception of the goal). TBH we were up against a great side. They outpaced us easily, and their squad was made up of a lot of 6 foot 5 brick sh1thooses.
Great to see Scneijder unveiled.

Fook , happy with the showing today apart from no cutting edge and not pressing the attacking team , zwick looked good apart from one shaky moment, Soutar stands out a mile and sorry to say can't see him being here next season , he makes the game look soooo fffffnnnnn easy .but the future is brightish
Totally agree re the pressing thing. In spite of other teams doing it to us countless times and knocking us completely out of our stride, I can only think of Motherwell Away a season and a half ago as the ONLY time we have done it successfully! To do it successfully you need to hunt in 2's or ideally 3's, CERTAINLY NOT with a single striker isolated by 20/30 yards from any back up. That is totally unfair on the solo striker.
Which brings me to my final point or PLEA to the management which is to find a way to get an extra player into our forward third to pin opponents back, so 4/1/4/1 or 4/4/2 along the lines of:
Zwick
McGowan Donaldson Durnan Dixon
Souttar
Erskine Telfer Spittal
Bodul Bilate
