Noticed one of the forums members who's out in Holland say the latest Dutch player were linked with is Hakim Ziyech of FC Twente.
Add that too
Sneijder
McKay
McGinn
Allan
Surely we have to sign one of them

Haha just posted same thing about Allan !

Do u think chairman will splash near a million for McKay mcginn and Allan

No chance matey.
I think out the three we might get McGinn.
That's just my gut feeling though.
Offline
I hope we get atleast 3 of these guys !

Even if it's just mcginn at least it's some sort of positive news ! Think zwick will be out number 1 looks decent but need wait and see !

I like Allan a lot, but we've already got too many midfielders.
Makes sense if we move some on and replace with better but McGinn, Allan, Sneijder, Ziyech...
Offline
I would be massively surprised if we signed this guy.
Seems to be better than our level.

Mines was bullshit. The guy I said was meant to one of the best young players in Netherlands.
Was asked to see if any old person could start a rumour on Twitter

was away to say, the boy Hakim is rated at near £5m ha ha

Think it's clear Utds preference is Allan in for Pates + cash, McGinn in for Ranks + cash and McKay & Sneidjer as additions. Problem with that plan is players & clubs involved need to agree. Crucial for a charismatic manager who can sell the benefits to the players and convince them their immediate future lies at Utd. And IMO that's our biggest issue as not convinced Macnamara could convince flies of the appeal of shit just now. And before anyone jumps on the defensive bandwagon, as I said above that's just my opinion, we're all allowed one of those. Not saying I'm right but that's my feeling on it. Be delighted if I'm wrong and the above all goes to plan though!

Why does everyone assume we're gonna move on Paton ??? He signed another deal last year did he not ? He's JMACS blue eye boy so no fucking danger he will be moved on !
Online!
No buying this stuff about deals for Mckay, Mcginn, Sneijder, Allan.
There's no way selling Ciftci has given us the sort of money to spend on fees and wages for these players. Cant see us signing more than one of these guys if any.
Plus looking at our squad we'd have to offload some more to get these guys in but who?
Most of the boys we have are "ones for the future" so nae chance they'll be moved on. Anier will no go after being given a 3 year. Canna see JM letting paton go since he seems ti be the golden boy. Rankin maybe? If so who would want him.
Smokescreen fae the club if yi ask me.

Interesting theory.
I think it might be Paton who's the paper weight in any McGinn deal though.
He's a Linwood boy which is basically right beside Paisley.
I think he might offer Hibs Anier and maybe even guys like Euan Spark,Scott Smith or the lot of them.
If this is McNamara's 'masterplan' two weeks before the season starts it's loaded with a helluva lot of 'if's and but's'.

Good point about Paton. I don't think what I said will happen anyway, just that I think that'd be Utds ideal scenario. My guess is McGinn deal will happen, Allan won't, McKay maybe but I doubt it and no idea about Sneidjer. All just hearsay just now though, be interesting to see where we're at come 2nd Aug but that's my prediction for what it's worth!

The thing is TEK we knew by March what we needed and in my honest opinion we have failed to address any of them.I reckon the CCS and ST knew by then that Fojut,Rado and Ciftci were away along with GMS and Armstrong. That is the spine of your team plus a very good winger.
A few months later with the addition of 2 centre halves who have never played at SPFL level the CCS declares he is happy to go with the squad he has.Its beyond belief and i have to agree with Hunted here(sorry)the manager has chucked it and could not give a toss anymore.
To me that is the only explanation mate,he has his failings but he isnae the worst manager in the world but it appears he just could not care less about our club anymore but the chairman is not far behind him.

He knew Rado,Butcher,Fojut and Ciftci were away in the Summer alright.
Targets should have been identified months ago and to go into a pre-season tour and be 'assessing' players he has seen day in day out for months (most of whom he signed btw) is just so depressing.
I've said before McNmara's main fault for me managerially speaking (and he has a few sadly) is that the man is a born procrastinator. He waits and waits and waits whilst everyone around him acts and then out of nowhere (and often when it's too late) BANG...panic button hit bigtime and panic signings made or the club scrambling about trying to sign any cunt.
The man has no clear forward thinking strategy in place and i have zero faith in him.I actually can't believe he's still our Manager tbh.The past year we have witnessed a catalogue of disastrous managerial decisions from him from playing the exact same tactics against St.Johnstone FIVE times in a row and throwing away our 6th piece of silverware to his latest brainwave of handing the Goal keepers jersey to (well he's not sure yet lolz).
"Winging it" i believe is the expression.
p.s. what does CCS mean?Thought that was Hibs casuals
