Ken it's a pre season friendly, but we are worse than I originally imagined.

We need mare than Billy Fookin McKay I'll tell ya. Wonder if Dynamo the magician's available.

Re: utrecht tonight

I know it's pre-season but some of our passing is truly shocking

Re: utrecht tonight

Honestly, I normally see the positive, even when we're not great but there has literally been NOTHING positive to take from this game.

Re: utrecht tonight

Yeah and we are scrambling around for signings that should have been locked in weeks ago.  We will have to pay more now given it's getting later in the window.

Sh1t show for me.

Re: utrecht tonight

Hard to take ANY positives at all from that display.

Thought Souttar looked our best player by miles.Bilate looked like he might have something to offer if he can stay fit and we gave him a decent strike partner upfront.

The rest either looked not fit enough, not fast enough, not physical enough or just plain not good enough.

Szromnik very poor and not vocal enough.

Snjeider done nothing.

Re: utrecht tonight

One of their players just walks through three of ours  just before that last goal - fucking embarrassing - thank fuck that's over.

The only thing we've taken from this tour is practice in getting hosed on.

....which may prove useful

Re: utrecht tonight

I dont think anyone should be surprised to see that Utrecht are considerably better than Utd. That does not mean that we will have a terrible season, the SPL is full of terrible players.

Re: utrecht tonight

There must be positives surely. We're not allowed to be negative ffs

16/7/2015 8:00 pm  #42

Re: utrecht tonight

Re: utrecht tonight

there was nothing JM could have done tonight that would have altered the outcome. They were superior in every department, their keeper had more compusure on the ball than Rankin. Only positive is we will soon be back to playing poor SPL sides.

So good news is we are looking just as sh1te as every other spl side? Hardly inspiring.

You have got be somewhat concerned surely?

if we were playing in the Eridivise next year I would be very concerned. However as i said you dont need to be a good team to win SPL,  matches.  In European terms Scottish club football is about as bad as it gets.

Hard to come to terms with the fact that in a league with no hibs or rangers next year and considering the talent we've had through Tannadice over the last few years, we are looking at a top 6 finish at best? Sh1tting it honestly.

In Jackie "half a job" mcnamara I DO NOT trust.

Re: utrecht tonight

They were a decent side. It's only a friendly.

Players looked unfit and disorganised though. If we were fit and organised I'd fancy us not to be kicking the arse off top 6 this season even without any other signings.

With Jackie at the helm? Good ain

I'd rather we spent the money we've bid for McKay on giving Jackie his p45

Re: utrecht tonight

Only caught the last 5 minutes of the game, did we sit that far back all the game or were they just fucked by that time?

We don't give a damn what the others say
We'll cheer on United all the way
For we are the Terrors of Tannadice

Re: utrecht tonight

Just catching up on this now, sounds like we were awful from all accounts.

I was at the game v Utrecht last pre season and they were decent but I think we deserved a draw, we were well up for it and looked really promising for the season ahead.

Tonight sounds like the opposite.

Our team last year was:

Rado
Spittal
Dillon
Morris
Robbo
Paton
Rankin
Stretch
GMS
Dow
Ciftci

McCallum
Telfer
Fraser
Petrie
Smith
Erskine
Bilate
Graham

Their team last year was:

Jeroen Verhoeven
Mark van der Maarel
Ramon Leeuwin
Anouar Kali
Willem Janssen
Jens Toornstra
Leon de Kogel
Kai Heerings
Mark Diemers
Danny Verbeek
Yannick Cortie

Sub's:

Mike Havekotte
Chris Kum
Gévero Markiet
Fernando Quesada
Adam Sarota
Nacer Barazite
Gyliano van Veizen
Rubio Rubin

Would be interesting to see how many changes in both squads, without a doubt we are much weaker in our first XI but I've no idea if they've really strengthened or we have got much worse.
