Jim Spence leaves the BBC
I see that his last day with the Beeb is Friday, big loss IMO.
Always have good coverage of United, DFC, Saints and Sheep on shows that were dominated by the OF.
I know a lot of people slag Sportsound, open all mics etc but I enjoy listening to it when I'm not at a game, also enjoyed when Spency was on the drive show about 6pm on a work day.
Hopefully we'll hear him somewhere else this season.
The way he called it like it was re the death of Rangers was worthy of an award, and the Beeb hung him out to dry then so for his sake he's better off out of there, will be missed though.

I thought Prick Young was finished as of the end of last season, but the other night there he was back on peddling his faux St Mirren crap.

Know Jim an ' all m8. Mibbe no quite as well as you. I do know 1 of his close family has been ill in recent months. United should give him job. Well deserves it.

Think Chick announced his retirement would be after Euro 2016 Fooky, fuck knows why he felt the need to give us two seasons to get used to the idea.
His goodbye will end up being longer that Cher's fairwell tour ffs.

Ahhhh is that what it is? Thanks for that, I knew I'd heard him saying he was retiring. Agree that he must be so up himself to be announcing it in such a way. He epitomises everything that is wrong with the Scottish Sporting Media. And he can barely put two or three coherent words together and works on the radio....you couldn't make it up!
