Hope the boy does well, we will need him. McNamara quoted as saying Paton might make the later preseason games but Morris is very doubtful.
I'll say one thing for all his faults, McNamara has had absolutely no luck whatsoever with injuries in the past year.

Not to be a doom n gloom cunt....BUT.
Why no wait till the lads played a couple of games and see how he does before handing out 3 year deals?...cos i know for a fucking fact he won't have been watched playing for QPR reserves.
That's my main problem with McNamara.He's a born procrastrinator,and reading his body language,often appears there's no rush to do ANYTHING.But then BANG out the blue...3 year deal Kudus ?(watched him for 45 mins)..18 month extension Mark Wilson ?(knees looked finished)..2 year deal Mario?(was signed on the back of a Youtube compilation) 2 and a half year Henri ?(not a chance he was scouted in Germany).
Not to say Donaldson is a bad player or will be a bad signing (i heard he's a good prospect).But if he's on trial for a week or two why not wait and see how he does over that period in the matches and how he interacts amongst the squad?
He seems to wait a fucking age to do anything and then eventually hits the panic button.

Love it if we got McKay but is Thompson going budge an spend cash ? We still need at least 5 players . Forward, a winger, central mid and defender imo. The lack of experience is scary in our squad . Goalkeeper all up for zwick getting a chance but it's risky!

In the case of Mario,he had a history of hamstring problems though previously.
I'd have offered him a trial on the back of that and NOT a 3 year deal before a ball had been kicked.
He was being punted around several clubs.I remember Stuart McCall saying Motherwell had been offered him but knocked him back immediately due to his Agents wage demands.
