Hate pish like this too.
Pandering to Celtic and their fans and going on about what a move it is.
Fuck off.How about talk about how you intend to improve the absolute shite we watched last season with a much weaker squad.
Cannae honestly listen to the guy anymore.

It's this absolute ignorance to the fact that football fans of clubs like ours hate this type of bullshit that annoys me. What he said may be true, but that's not what needs said just now.
As tek said lets hear what it means for DUFC going forward.

Did he really say that?
That's a line in sand for me.
Trust no one South of the Tay is my new motto

Utterly ridiculous statement from JM, either completely unaware of current fan feeling or just doesn't give a shit but either way, stupid thing to say publicly. Completely fucking clueless.

Got a link for the interview anyone

Did McNamara not act like a complete tosser up at Aberdeen when the fans started to turn against him when he was a player? I get the impression he's giving us the big 'F you' at the moment and I don't see him changing.
My opinion is he has to go as he's not showing any concern or urgency to resolve things. His comments about assessing Bilate & Anier in Holland is ridiculous as he should know what they can or can't do by now. In fact he should have known a hell of a lot more about them before he signed them.
To me, he's either playing us for mugs or he just plain and simple doesn't have a clue.

Cannie post the link L it was in the Sun and the headline was,"I looked at Nadir and i saw myself joining Celtic.".Jackie,Sid and Jacko were all quite emotional as Ciftci said his goodbye's and 150K was added to their bank balance's.

Apparently he acted like a cunt when leaving Celtic, Aberdeen and Partick.
Did he not still fight for a bonus when Partick got promoted? Even though he joined us at the end of Jan.
I can't see the many of the fans ever supporting him or trusting him again

He looks like a smug bastard in your avatar

Text Motherwellarab and he said it was a 2 page interview in today's Scottish Sun.
Edit to say just saw Gunboat's post.

Yeah. an unbelievably idiotic statement.
I try to cut the guy some slack when he gets slagged of as football management isn't an easy gig (though a well paid one).
But that statement is so totally unaware of what the fans are thinking you really do have to wonder what the fuck is going through his head - subconsciously wants out?

Does it really matter what he says? Its all about results. If Utd have a good start it will soon be forgotten, however if its the bad start most forum experts predict JM will see its not a good idea to piss off the fans

Its in the Sun so its authenticity is probably dubious but if he has said it it kind of lets you know what he thinks of us.
Christ knows what Tannadice is going to be like if we lose our first few games of the season.

I recall reading an interview with him previously where he said he didn't want to leave Dunfermline and after the club accepted the bid from Celtic he was greetin cos he didn't want to go?
Then he moved and realised it was the right thing but before he left he had no desire to join them.
Boy is a pap, contradicts himself from week to week. He's also probably earned more money as gaffer than JYM did in 20 odd years.

Our highest ever paid manager.
Oh, and if he did say that that's bang out of order.

Jesus fucking Christ. I was at all 4 of the games v they cunts in March. All fucking 4 of them. It was fucking soul destroying. We've lost 3 great players to them and here in the media the manager of DUFC is talking about how good it was joining them 20 years ago and how proud he is about Nadir.
Not good enough

Mind we all pissed ourselves laughing when Mark McGee got the Aberdeen job and all he talked about was nearly getting the Celtic job.
It feels a bit like that. It's the Sun I suppose he probably never said anything like it but it doesn't make it easier to take

Aye hunted. Think he would talking about how good it was to be joining United 2 and 1/2 year ago, and comparing it we how he feels now, following the last 6 months.
Mibbee he wants to go to Celtic an all.

If we start the season poorly and gets pumped the only team playing in hoops that he'll get a job at will be Queens Park

I don't see the big deal. Ok, Jackie maybe shouldn't be saying it, but surely we know it's the truth and reality of life.
If you're not a Dundee United fan, of course you're gonna be more excited about playing for Celtic over Dundee United. I'm sure getting a 500% wage rise helps! A young pro with the chance of playing in front of 60,000 home fans in champions league ties.

Sorry mate but I disagree, not with the fact it's probably the right move for Nads but absolutely don't think JM should be making comments like those whilst he's employed by United (or if it was any other Club for that matter). It's unprofessional IMO & during the current climate between fans & Club especially, just plain idiotic. Just my opinion and I respect yours but I find it pretty disrespectful to our Clubs fans from a man who's not exactly flavour of the month with many fans as it is.

The comments, if accurate, strike me as someone working his passage.
Disappointing for me to say that, as I am normally quite moderate regarding the manager.

Zippy, no problem from me in what Ciftci had done or said, think he's well within his rights to chose to go to Celtic, for the reasons you've suggested.
As GF80 has said, i don't think our manager should be reminiscing about the good old days with him.
