Yeah. Looked fairly slow with decent feet. A fast right winger would be sweet.

Good luck to the lad.
But with a tight budget we need to use it wisely and be sure it's someone who can play first team fitba immediately.
If he's yet 'another one for the future' then he has to be considerably better than local Scottish boys for me or i don't see the point.
We'll see how how the lad does.I hope he shows something over there cos God knows we need a winger, but preferably one with pace,an excellent work ethic and importantly one who who can cross a ball (something hardly anyone in the team can do successfully it would seem).

He didn't look good enough for me. Certainly not as someone who is first team ready now and tbh not as one for the future. One of the main reasons why we are not adding to the squad right now is because we've spent the last 3 years signing up FAR too many 'one's for the future' most of whom are not good enough and are costing us too much money in wages.

Life, you say he didnt look good enough for you. going off topic here but did any of the players look good enough for you and if not whats your thoughts on them ?

Robson looks really good and actually looks 1st team material. Harry Souttar looks very good too, if a bit raw still. Scott Smith looked good in flashes although he needs to do a bit more. Johnson wasn't as good as last time I saw him but clearly has talent. He appeared to struggle with playing against hardened boys who will get stuck in unlike the pretty light touch development games. One duff punch apart, I though Zwick looked decent as well. Spark played well 1st half but 2nd half he seemed to run out of ideas and put most of his crosses into the stand.
The Italian boy looked a tidy footballer but to me just not the ready-made first team player we are really needing at the moment. You never know mind you but unlike Johnson who I know will get better and better, this boy looked at his level and thats all.

Robson was roated all game from the boy Linn.
Souttar looked good
Zwick done ok, looks like De gea
Spark was poor along with everyone else IMO apart from Lochead. I genuinely thought he was head and shoulders above myrie williams brither

It's a bit early to be asking which of them looked good enough.
If they were good enough, they wouldn't have been playing with the development team. They're still developing.
Also, this was a game very early in pre-season. Far too early to be playing a full 90 minutes. I'm sure Steve Campbell wouldn't have chosen to have this game so early in the summer.

The voice of reason.
Fuck me, it was even before the pre-pre-season that's Oban.

The boys on trial with United because he's been well thought of in the past as a young talent and maybe lost his way otherwise he'd be on trial at a bigger club.
He scored 4 goals in 5 games for Italy U19's or U20's in 2013 so some Italian national team talent spotting fuckers saw something in him. Mibbies we are a good shout to bring this talent back out and develop him.
I'm pleased if he's going to the Netherlands, will be a decent test as his fitness improves.
Online!
Maybe being a bit lenient here but probably a bigger crowd than many of the players have played in front of recently. Usually they are playing development games in front of an empty stadium. Nerves could have played a part in a few performances.
Plus Arbroath aren't a bad side, really should've went up last season IMO. A good few decent, experienced players in there, plus first pre season game for all.

Surely on that basis it was ' a bit early' to write of the trialist who was better than most on the park ? No ?

Jeezy peeps. This isn't you having a go at people writing off players too early is it?
When can we expect Leedsy to out himself as a member of ISIS?

Ha ha, my arguement is that he was one of the best players on the park yet he was slated and others who are 'for the future' and on the books were fucking brutal, i cant work it out why people have slated him when guys like Johnson and Moore were proper shite and Robson was roasted all night from Linn was praised ???
Offline
I don't think anyone slated him did they?
He maybe got a harsher analysis from some but that's because of the reasons you've just outlined.
Most of that team are for the future. Whereas the trialist, you'd have thought, has been brought over in the hope that he can improve the first team squad now.
But you won't get argument from me on the point that it's too early to write him off. Falls into the 'worth another look' category.

I have been reliably informed that although the trialist is indeed Italian,he is NOT Italian U20 Internationalist Guido Gomez.
Don't have a name.Club keeping it under wraps.
He's now took on an almost mythical prescence in my mind.

The mystery continues...

he's no one of those Honduras boys again is he??

He looks very similar to the Guido geezer at least.

That's what I thought when I saw him playing last Tuesday.

I was told the other week that another Aussie midfielder is as good as signed (not the crock), talk is of him being the next big thing and it is known by the club that he fully intending using United as a stepping stone to the EPL (or Celtic)
No name as yet but he is seemingly the real deal.

The Italian lad is away back home.
Whoever he was.
