Re: italian trialist

Looks like he's never had to mark a player before in his life, maybe there's a language barrier so might be being harsh. Done okay going forward though

Re: italian trialist

Thought he wasnae bad. Had a few punts on goal that were off target, and was good going forward. No 7 by any chance was he?

Re: italian trialist

I don't think you can judge a player based on a friendly game with development players, but if I had to, I wouldn't give him pass marks.

He had one or two decent touches and played better when moved centrally, but for the last 15 minutes of the first half, he gave up. He dived, he turned his back on play and his body language was very negative (along with constant muttering under his breath and shaking his head).

Mainly I don't think he had the pace we need.

Re: italian trialist

I would say pass marks but only just seemed to let his head go down to easy when things were going against him useless at tracking back but for spells not bad going forward, need more time to assess him and would be harsh to say yay or nay on just last nights performance

Sounds like a 3 year deal to me.

Re: italian trialist

We have enough players with 'potential'.

We need players who can improve the first team squad unquestionably (the same way everyone knew Nadir would when we seen him play Dunfermline).

If the kid has a questionable attitude in a trial match that certainly doesn't bode well.I can live with a young attacker not tracking his man if he looks exceptional going forward,if not... what's the point?

Perhaps take him too Holland but he would really need to show something for me.Taking young lads over from a totally different culture and style of footballl is all very well but they need to be better than what we already have.

Re: italian trialist

Id say he was good, to say his attitude was questionable is very harsh, it was kick aboot against Arbroath ffs

Re: italian trialist

Thought the boy done much better when moved just behind the striker after 15 mins of the second half. Was the only one who spotted Murrays runs in behind half the time when most others were trying to knock it in to his feet. Tried to hard to score instead of passing once around the box but thought he looked better and better as the game drew on.

Somebody buy um a pair of shooting Bates if he does stay long term though

Re: italian trialist

If he stays long enough he'll need a Celtic strip as well

Not for him it wasn't. It was a trial.

Exactly.

BTW massive LOLz at Affshore taking the hump for a negative post about a boy playing a friendly.

Pot and Kettle spring to mind.

Re: italian trialist

I doubt he'll get a deal, tbh.

He didn't stand out with a bunch of kids and butchers.

Re: italian trialist

There's no point in signing him if he only stands out centrally. We don't need more central attacking midfielders, we need a fast winger.

He wasn't even that fast.
