Ciftci bid accepted

Minimum of £1.5 from Celtic according to duthie tweet this morning.

If true it's a great price IMO

Re: Ciftci bid accepted

Judging by what Jackie says in the Tele this morning he doesn't envisage doing a lot of business once Nads goes. I find that very bizarre and it will bite us on the arse big time. He does say there's a possibility we'll bring in another striker but not a guarantee. :-(

Re: Ciftci bid accepted

I'm all for the manager having confidence in his players but McNamara's stance at the moment sits somewhere between arrogance, stubbornness and utter delusion if he thinks this squad is good enough to see us through the season and maintain the sort of level of recent seasons.

Either that or he's been told thats his lot by Thompson and he's trying to front it out.

Graham and Gardyne were replaced last season. Their wages went to the likes of Dixon and McGowan. Fojut was replaced by Durnan and Rado's wages in part will have been taken by Zwick going from an unpaid amateur to a first team player.

Getting to be a bit monotonous now , it's sickening. I hate these bastards.

Now please Utd, don't let us down, let's spend the fucking lot of it.

I'd be amazed if we spent any of it on fees.

Is there any need for us to spend money on transfer fees at this time of year? Surely there are lots of available players and also clubs looking to get players off their books for nothing?

Yeah that is as good as it gets people, for a player that no longer wanted to be with us; and has a year left; and has bite gate hanging over him.  Albeit I'm sure the Compliance Officer being a former tattie dome season ticket holder is now regretting issuing his notice of complaint.

Any chance we can all just give the Club a fortnight to see what they do with what's left of the transfer pie before everyone goes Radio Rental?  I'm sure those in charge are well aware of everyone's sentiments since 2 February 2015 and what is needed.

Re: Ciftci bid accepted

12th player who's left this Summer including players we offered deals too like Butcher and Ciftci.

High earners like Watson, Rado and Fojut away.

And a further 1.5 million in in fees.

If we don't go out and sign a forward,a winger and a left back McNamara deserves every bit of abuse coming if the team bombs.

And I'm not talking lads from Australian pubs teams either btw.Lads who are able to play and improve the squad immediately.

We (of course) need a Goalkeeper too, but he's made a rod for his own back already on that front.

I am not in anyway celebrating selling our best player despite the fee.We need players in asap and if this Manager can't see that or is incapable of finding or enticing the standard of player we need he should do the honourable thing and stand aside and let in someone else in who can.

I want actions now,no more spin, and I want them fast.

P.s.NO fees should be spent. There are an abundance of players available FOC from all over Europe.

Nice idea mate but based on Twitter this morning it's already 'radio rental central'.  Was always going to be the case whatever happened!

Surely we should trust the management on whether or not guys like Murray are capable of stepping up before making moves for more strikers.

Similarly, shouldn't Anier and Bilate be given a chance in pre-season?

Totally agree on the winger and full back front though.

Murray is in no way a replacement for a player of Ciftci's quality. He might turn out a useful player but will need a year or two to adjust and make a mark at this level.

Anier isn't a forward for me, more another of these off the front, midfielder, winger, forward hybrids we have about five of.I doubt Bilate will EVER be fit enough to play week in week out and it would be a foolish gamble to put blind faith in him doing so.I also don't think he's that great anyway if I'm honest (same as Anier) but deserves a chance to be part of the first team squad.

We need a penalty box centre forward.Preferably one with pace.

Re: Ciftci bid accepted

That's the way it is GF80 now though eh?  I loved watching Nads for us, but let's face it he was not a team player and he annoyed the feck out of me in our inflexible and rigid 4231 system when he was the "1" and he went on his maverick walk abouts.  That meant as well as us being unable to defend and keep clean sheets, we played with no-one up front, which also contributed to our tail spin.  I believe we now need at least a couple of players with experience to allow us to play with two up front.  As I said, the next fortnight is pivotal to how our season goes/starts.

Cynic in me thinks this was always part of the plan.

Sign for United for a couple of year then you'll get a move to Celtic.

Too many Celtic minded cunts involved -McNamara , Hooijdonk etc

Oh, what came of the things we once believed?

Presume later today Nads will find out what it really means to be Sellick minded, when the ambulance chasers will drape their bemused new Turkish striker in a Greek flag and give him their coveted number 7 shirt on 7/7 day!

Re: Ciftci bid accepted

Official has it as an undisclosed deal at the moment. Strange considering they've been pretty open about the fact that Celtic had to match Wigan's £1.5M before they'd accept.

I wonder if they're keeping a player swap quiet until terms have been agreed?
