What Celtic player have we been offered?
Rumour is that we are to be offered a Celtic player as part of any Ciftci deal.
I think it could be the lad Callum McGregor on loan,who seems to be way down the pecking order now.
I'm also a bit wary of taking anyone on loan from there tbh.Only decent one they gave us was Mulgrew.
Jim o'Brien,Marc Cocozza,Paul Caddis were all pish.

It would have to be an experienced player; bringing in a kid when we have plenty of them seems a bit silly.
So realistically you're looking at Tom Rogic, Dylan McGeough, Callum McGregor and maybe, *maybe* Derk Boerrigter.
If Celtic sign anyone else in an attacking sense, you've got to think they'd look to offload James Forrest, but I doubt very much he'd come to us.
Maybe we can get GMS back :D

I was told it was McGregor by a Celtic supporting friend. Suggested this was an option in the Ciftci topic earlier and no one batted an eyelid. His source was not particularly reliable mind you.
Mcgregor wasn't in the Celtic squad tonight for a friendly and isn't particularly rated by many it seems. However, he was in Scotland squads and finished Celtics joint top scorer in Europe in last 12 months. It'd be interesting to know his current wage.

I would prefer him or whoever for good though and not on loan.

So the thought is that we could give one of their youths game time and leave one of our youths less game time?
Not sure they would significantly improve our side.....

That's exactly why i don't want them on loan.
Well that and the fact that they wouldn't be able to play against them.
Not a fan of loans from them.

I can see the benefit of a more mature player who could really add something.....but it's unlikely.

No wanting ti jinx it but as an Avid fan of Notts County (eh go down there a fair bit) eh can tell you Mcgregor tore League 1 up a couple seasons back and basically saved County from the drop that season on his own.
Given a free role in our team eh've nae doubt he'd do a great job. While he was with County there were reports down south that Wolves had offer 250-500k plus Leigh Griffiths for Mcgregor in the January transfer window but Celtic said no.
No sure how eh'd feel about a loan deal though, if it was permanent eh'd be tempted to say we were getting a decent deal.
Ken my luck though this will happen and he'll turn out to be absolute shite
