Woman's World Cup

Off to a good start.

Noways Eva Hegerberg has something about her.

USA v Australia live on BBC2 tonight at 23:50.

Two times winners and 2011 winners USA favourites for this but Australia should have some great talent on show too.

Hear their shout, hear their roar
They've probably had a barrel of ale and much, much more
Hooray, hooray, hooray, yeah
Over the hill went the swords of a thousand men

Team News for the big ane tonight

Hope Solo available, Leroux playing too (she'll get it tight from the locals in Winniepeg after defecting from the hosts) look out for Australia's Georgi Kerr though, she packs a punch up front.

Re: Woman's World Cup

Bra sil  looking good for a win after a Mark Kerresque misplaced back pass was poked home Romario style to give them a half time advantage over Korea. Not quite so entertaining as last night's game but still some great build up play here too without the cascade of goals seen in the previous matches so far. England suffered a 1-0 defeat earlier to the French.

Re: Woman's World Cup

I kinda questioned the entertainment value of the France v England match. No sooner had I done so when my eyes were cast upon the French No.6, Amandine Henry.

Wouldn't say no.

Re: Woman's World Cup

England looked technically and tactically inept and their strikers were totally isolated and feeding on scraps.  However, the commentators still spent the entire time asking if they could win the Womens World Cup???? Same shit, different gender.

Re: Woman's World Cup

Huge game tonight and it's no even the knock one out stages of the Woman's World Cup yet.

Tonight's match with America v Australia should be interesting.

Now here's a thought! Do we not need a new keeper?

America - Sweden ya mean?

Love the Swedes set-piece move at corners (all standing in a line).

Hasnae worked right enough...but still

Re: Woman's World Cup

Was in some sort of time warp when i posted that. (was blinded by the pictures of Hope Solo tbh) aye the formation of the Swedettes at every corner was a bit amusing, I genuinely though they were going to mount each other on the six yard line to give thereselves some sort of height advantage when the cross came over. Kind of thing Aberdeen would try lol

Re: Woman's World Cup

Great penalty by the Slantyesses, terrible defending by the English left back Rafferty, reminded me of her brother Stuart who played for the fun. Cheating bastards just got a one back from the spot though Japan wan - England one.
Takasooky just threw her water bottle against the dugoot in disgust. Game on
