pre/post match drinks

Where do we all go before and after games for a drink then?

Usually the snug for myself but visit the hegarty suite every now and then.. had a couple of pints in the maltman before a game last season when meeting someone with pin badges which was a no bad wee boozer.

Re: pre/post match drinks

Used to go to Snug. Still go there occasionally after game.

Usually just nip in Balmore before game as it on my way to Tannadice.

Yeah yeah Industrial Estate

Re: pre/post match drinks

Usually Frew's for me. A good pint and it's on my way in from Poley.

Plenty good options around the ground though.

Re: pre/post match drinks

Normally just nip into The Troll for 1 or 2 beforehand.

Never hang about for a pint afterwards unfortunately.

Re: pre/post match drinks

Usually the 4 J's, sometimes The Snug.
Don't live in Dundee so first 4 pints are on the train usually, then 1 or 2 in The Trades before taxi to the 2 I like by the ground . Used to occasionally nip into the Smugglers after match years ago.

Snug before and after for me. It's recently been taken over and had a wee spruce up. Now a free house and has Tennants lager back in.  Also selling bottled craft beers.

Re: pre/post match drinks

Before... various choices prior to bus, in Dundee, Snooker Club or 4Js

After... straight home, sometimes via various choices.

Re: pre/post match drinks

Used to go to the Snug but normally go to either the Balmore or Frews now these days.  Balmore more often than not now since its just across from the bus stop.

I've got the wee man a season ticket now so will probably be driving the games I've got him, including the first game of the season unfortunately.  Bugger.

Too much commotion

That's good to know because on a lot of occasions I've been in the last 2 seasons the only lager available has been Fosters which is fucking rank.

Re: pre/post match drinks

Usually totally sober on match day until about half 4 when Ross County score their second fucking goal courtesy of Jackson fucking Irvine from another fucking set piece and I head to the Troll and drink until I can't see anymore.

A waste of human skin.

Re: pre/post match drinks

4J's most weeks or the Balmore, no been to the heggie suite but might give it a go next season!

Re: pre/post match drinks

4js or Balmore. Occasionally the Heggie. 4js can be too busy on big games.

Jump on the Edinburgh Arabs bus. That way you can get a few beers.
