Looking like the lad Durnan is signing today according to the courier....seems to be a decent prospect fae what I've read...seems we've took our time and done our homework...boys aren't even back fae pre-season and there's been a huge over reaction to signings imho....
hopefully he's the first of 2 or three to add to what we have....may even get more...

Couldn't agree more mate.
Some fowk in a major tizzy over the lack of movement, but that's the same fowk that have absolutely NOTHING positive to say about the club.
If we get to the start of the season without any changes, then I'll worry about the season ahead. But ffs people, give the club the benefit of doubt. Some so called fans have us fighting relegation. I hope they stay away this season, I honestly do.
Imo,things will start to move now. Think positive.

Absolutely spot on from the two of you

Can we not turn this into another Anti-Fed/AT/boo boys thread please Lads?
EVERYONE will be happy if/when we eventually sign someone...EVERYONE.
Don't think there has been that much of an over reaction (certainly not on here anyway).
We are the only team in the Premiership not to have bolstered our squad (some teams like County+Dundee have made 5 or 6 signings),we have shipped on 10 and are talking of shipping out more.
Of course there has been some murmurings. That would be true of any top side.

Yip, wow indeed mate. I'm totally fed up with negativity. Not on here I may add.

Anti-fed? Wow?
what the fucks it got to do with the fed?
ken this i was gonna post earlier that this place had taken a turn back to the positive...better just keeping my trap shut tbh....absolutely no doubt about some aren't happy unless their unhappy....I'll be back when all this pish dies over...

Definitely an overreaction to the lack of activity by some. It's only June 19 and plenty time to get new faces in ahead of pre-season. Bit alarmed that we don't plan on signing another striker, a proven one at that. Ciftci is going to get a hefty ban and I'd have thought it would be naive not to sell in the summer as we'll get buttons in January for him. I thought we'd learnt our lesson regards running down player contracts.

I really we wish we could all have a collective bout of amnesia Tek mate, wipe out the last six months.
It's been a nightmare. I refuse to get involved in debates about it now because it's over. Any talk of it is just giving it oxygen.
There's loads to be excited about for next season. The second half of last season was essentially a transitional period. If Ciftci goes then the heart of the 13/14 team will truly be gone and this is a new start.
Boys like Muirhead, Coote, Johnson, Fraser, Telfer, Connolly and a hopefully-fit Bilate are all going to form part of a new-look first team next season.
You're always going to want new faces pre-season, just to give you something to read about if nothing else. I definitely want a new keeper and CH. As Silver says though, plenty time yet...

Ehv no commented much on the summer signing situation as i think we will bring in 3 players whether 1 or 2 are loan deals or short term deals who knows but i also expect more to depart or dont who knows but what i do no is that its very very early days.
Yeah i would have liked is to have had 1 or 2 signed up but its all about budgets at the end of the day.

All what pish exactly?
I simply asked that what should be a positive thread should remain that way without yet more digs between the fans creeping in.Not sure why it's necessary if i'm honest.

I like the look of all those young guys you mentioned T6 (haven't saw Fraser admittedly) and you could add Spittal on to that list too. There is definite still talent coming through.
Would just like to see a bit more experience in the squad. And maybe a leader (Andy Webster type). And i'd be happy.Defo need a Goalie,CH,and forward imo.Another LB would be nice aswell if budget allows.

Good experianced goalie
Andy webster
A midfield
And a good established striker
Package offered to bilate and anier to go with possibly rankin would be good and free the wages.

I think if you look at when it started going Pete Tong ie locked threads etc you might find the common denominator ?

There was only 1 locked thread.
Locked because a few posters were getting involved in nonsense tit-for-tat back in forth regarding the Fed/AT.
Posters should be able to respect one anothers opinions (even if they don't necessarily agree with them) without feeling the need to fall-out or make digs at regulary. We're all adults on here afterall.

Can't disagree with that.
Goalie
Centre half
Scott McDonald.
We need a playmaker desperately but I'm more than happy to see what a few of the young lads can do. Telfer will hopefully kick on this season, and Scott Smith will break through this season too.

Think yer havering there mate. I don't think anyone's happy to be unhappy. Think folk have genuine concerns about our club. You can't be positive about something if you feel there's nothing to be positive about.

Telfer connolly and spittle need to make a mark this season.

You're a mass of contradictions young Bowers.
You speak sense about budgets and balancing the books yet you seem desperate for the club to spunk six figures to get rid of two players who have barely had a chance to show if they're good enough.

Thats not a contradiction as i or nobody has said it would be or wouldnt be a 6 figure fee for them or others to depart. However if it was to be 6 figures there is no danger of it happening (i doubt it will happen anyway more wishful thinking). At best all that would be would be your free to leave if theres a club interested
Offline
Good news, rated highly, first of many new signings I hope
Offline
It would definitely be a six figure fee.
Even a 'you're free to leave if another club comes in' would involve a pay off.
It's only if players request a move that they waive any settlement on their contract.
Personally, I think there's undoubtedly a player in Bilate. Clearly his hamstrings are an issue but it seems he's doing work this summer to hopefully get that sorted. As for Anier, he's McNamara's signing so it falls on him to find a system and position that suits him. If he's continually played out of position next season then I'll be blaming the manager rather than the player.
Offline
As i said t6 more wishful thinking on my part...
We all know we wont be paying that kind of money to get rid of players.
Offline
would love to see a 100% fit bilate and an Anier playing with confindence and the fans behind them
non of them benefit from non support and jmac playing them up front solo
____________keeper___________
mcgowan___Durnan___morris___dixon
___telfer___souttar__rankin
_____Anier__Bilate___Muirhead
get the full backs forward pinging bahs in with soapy dropping back when they do...hate this one up top pish with a passion....

ps in an ideal world we'd get a great keeper and replace Rankin and obviously get better for any position...but it shows we can still put a team on the park and not play 4-2-3-1 all the time....huge season for the manager to see if he can outthink those that have sussed him out
