What is the specific date?
In the Fed/AT statement it just says a further meeting was arranged for 'June' between both parties and Thompson/BoD.
We are now at June 13th.
Has the meeting happened?
Blackandtangerine can you shed any light?

Always been more of a Lennon fan than McCartney so i'd rather 'Gimme Some Truth' was the flavour of the day.
Seriously though when is the meeting?

Need to get ST back in the UK first Tek...

Could it be asked what effect that the woman's team will have on the the men's teams budget?
Is/will the women's team generate enough cash to cover it's own overheads or will wages/kit costs/training costs mean a reduction in budget?
Could be a great thing for the community - encouraging females into competitive sport...but may have other drawbacks...

Good question tbh.
Main thing I think we all want to know is what is Thompson+Mike Martin's long-term intentions over this Australian enterprise? And they better not try+palm anyone off with the line 'it's a private business venture'.
Who will be our Chairman next season?
If it's ST how often will he and MM be flying off to Oz? Will it be on Utd's time? If so will ST give up his 6 figure a year wage (particularly as Southern now basically runs the club day to day apparently).
Not wishing to be an amateur accountant etc, but these are basic questions that have been unanswered for months on end now.
Time for cards on the table ST and not just feeding Spencey the odd tidbit of info every few months when you are under pressure to say something.

What would be the purpose of a meeting between the Fed/Trust and ST just now?
Would it not just cause mair bad blood and further sour the relationship between the club and fans. It would probably lead to more fans being split as well.
Best let the dust settle IMO

I also hope it's conveyed to the BoD in the strongest terms possible that the majority of our support are deeply unhappy about the Management taking a cut of transfer fees, and that they would strongly recommend to the BoD the next time contractual negotiations are taking place (with either this Management team or another) that commision on the sale of Dundee United players is not part of the Manager's remuneration+bonus system. But is instead a basic remit of his job to scout +develop young talent to potentially be sold on.
A job he will still be paid most handsomely for in comparison with most other jobs in Scotland.

The relationship can't get much worse imo. Time for transparency and to build bridges.
I'm concerned Thompson doesn't want to offer an Olive branch though.
Still seems very bullish in his last interview.

Totally agree with this in principle

Just think it is a bad idea. Fed/trust don't trust ST and I doubt he trusts them.
Don't think we should be airing dirty laundry in public. Just my opinion like

Why wouldnt the meeting go ahead when there is still alot of questions needing answered?

Because there's no communication outside face to face?

Sounds a bit sexist, unless they run at a 20% trading loss.

How big a majority?
Double his wages and cancel the clause?

No trying to stir here but how do folk know it's a majority? Most United fans don't post on boards or even tweet.

The only Utd fans I know in real life or online who I know are ok with the transfer cut are Trap 6,Bugsy and Beharder (I think).
Some others possibly tolerate it but aren't thrilled by it.
The vast majority of fans I've had communication with over it are most unhappy though.
@Bugsy no you don't double his wages. We offer the 6th highest basic wage in Scottish Football with handsome bonuses for European qualification and Cup Final wins etc.
If that's not acceptable... don't take the job.

You cannae rip up folks contracts though.
I'm not particularly happy with deal but am more concerned by his tactics tbh. I can live with it but his tactics? Nah

I know we can't that's not an option now.
But it would be remiss of the Fed not to convey the majority of fans feelings on this would it not?
And it is a large majority, you know that, I know that... deep down even Bugsy knows that.

It may be a majority but I don't think it's a big one. I know a few guys who go to every home game who back Thompson all the way
