It should extend to all leagues I reckon

Fair enough.
Ciftci has been excellent for United and United have been excellent for Ciftci.
He's given a good two years. I can totally understand why he'd want to go and test himself at the next level.
Unless there's a silly offer on the table though, I hope the club hang onto him. Tell him to go and blast his way through next season, do a bit of maturing on the park, and get himself a belter of a move next summer.
My first thoughts as well, but you just sense from some supporters comments that he'll get castigated this coming season. Some players would take it on the chin and be professional so it didn't affect them. But the effect on Nads, not being the hero?, it isn't going to happen (he's either away or it'll be a torrid season for him, and our great memories of him will be severely tarnished).
Fwiw, nads has been the most zone friendly interviewee ever, but was always playing the long game. Just hope he's away and doesn't undo all his good work (for him, no us

Or Utd can make an improved offer he may not want to knock back? 😜
No gonna happen.

lad has ability in spades but i'm totally non fussed tbh...spoke about it many time on here...lad has frustrated me mair than any other player has in 40 years oh watching utd....80% of the time plays for Nadir, 20% plays for Utd...when he plays that 20% of the time he's as good as anything i've ever seen at tannadice...
Well said, stated umpteen times that Nads with a decent attitude would be playing for the likes of Arsenal. With his present attitude, however, he's well suited to Tannadice, and I hope he doesn't find it out the hard way (career wise not money).
Still a great loss, but Robbie gives me hope after fleeting appearances after I didn't think he was ready, yet starred big time.

We will miss him when he goes. But if we can get decent money for him now fair enough. If it gets the team playing as more of a unit then it might benefit us in the long-term. His form did take a turn for the better in the last few games of the season but, our best football post January was in the last Celtic game where he wasn't playing.

Dont think a ban can be applied by the SPFL and carry over to another league.
I've never heard of a player arriving in our league and serving a suspension from his previous league.
UEFA or FIFA would be the only organisations that could serve a ban across associations like that.

When moshni got his ban for punching the motherwell boy erwin? Im sure i read that his ban will be need to be served where ever he signs next. Wouldnt this be same?

Pretty sure if SFA ban him and he moves to another league they will ask UEFA to make sure ban happens

They lost their bite up front after letting Luis Suarez go right enough, Ciftci could
Bridge the gap if you pardon the pun

If he went for that and that was upfront fee the club would prob net around 650-750k after peoples cut.

Cant see where he's linked with a move for £1.6 million. Does say that Celtic are after another player from Ajax at that price...

£1.6m. I'd take that if he had 3 years left on his contract.
Cracking player, terrible temper. That's whats gonna keep the asking price down.
He's been starved of service since January and has understandably struggled. If he finds a team that can feed him that team will be laughing - if he doesn't continually get banned.
