I would definetly be in favour of it.

All it means is punting December and January into touch for June and July.
It would get my vote, but would need to be brought in with say Friday Night 8pm kick offs during summer school holidays so that families summer Saturdays and Sundays were free, better pricing, food, family entertainment etc (especially in those summer months).

Said it until im seek oh hearing my own voice....the game in Scotland will never progress until we change this fucking idiotic way of our season...the grass grows in the summer yet we tear down goal posts....the nights are longer so there's nae need for floodlights...kids could wear strips as opposed to greeting with frostbite
would you sit in your garden for 2 hours in January?...why should we at the football?.
its fucking madness imho

Just read that, great to hear it's even being discussed, to think someday we may be looking forward to watching a midweek match during weather like this seems slightly more appealing than the freezing cold trudge to and from Tannadice in January/February. Financial no brainer when you take away the cost of lighting and undersoil heating never mind the potential increase in gate receipts

Have never been fully committed to going down the summer football route, but finding myself coming round to it more and more. It really has to be tried, changes need to happen and it needs to be radical for our game. I think moving to summer football fits under that radical category. To really do something big we need to do this and properly embrace it for a good 5 season trial, no half measures. Never know, it could also act as a catalyst for other changes. End of the day, whats the worst that could happen - we revert back to current system?!

I could see a rise in home and away attendances with summer football also with other things in pipeline to be re introduced could be good.

All in favour of summer football.
Doncaster of the opinion that stumbling blocks exist in terms of UEFA and FIFA calendars. As many countries already have implemented summer football it may be an idea for him to study this as a starter for ten instead of looking for the stumbling blocks. If he had any idea what he was doing he would have already done this.

Don't be silly! All stumbling blocks, no matter how petty must be found first - even if they don't currently exist.
