Jings........ another cracker I've missed.
Enjoyed reading this earlier this morning, and it got me thinking about Garry and his injury issues down at Bristol.
I might have asked this general question of him:
Realising clubs have to keep their players physically fit, therefore when they are injured they put them on a treatment programme following assessment, what more could the clubs do to help the players get through the difficult time when they are unable to fully train?
I'm thinking along the lines of involving their players in some club activities, so that a long lay off doesn't become tedious. I also think football, generally, could do a lot more to help transistion when players move away from the professional game, and that Football Associations should make it their duty to offer assistance to people at that point.
But what form should that help take?
Garry's probably ecstatic that I wasn't on here last night!

Great reading again, well done to those who organised it and all the best Garry

Wonder if Garry felt that being a local lad was a help or a hinderance to his career at United.
I always felt that United fans were 'harder' on Garry than other players

I always rated Garry and felt similar. No saying he was a world beater, but felt he often got the short straw fae United fans.
Also think that Ryan Dow gets similar treatment in the current squad. Not the most talented player ever to wear tangerine but is still decent enough. He also seems to take a fair bit more flak than some other players.
