Doesn't the Compliance Officer Tony McGlennan have to cite a player withing 2 days of the incident occuring?
If so,he's in the clear no?

Dunno the rules but compliance officer normally desperate to get players in....and they have clear footage.
If this is the case mcalister should reemed for it....
Still all ifs and buts tho....
Edit: daily record claiming 2 week investigations..

The Record story is a lift from Alan Pattullo's piece in yesterday's Scotsman, where the same sort of scenario was outlined: waiting on statements from the clubs and the players and so on.
Pattullo is a Dee, but normally quite fair I'd say.
What gets me about Dundee's moral outrage over the alleged bite is, in this same week and without any irony, the club and fans appear on a high over playing in a London testimonial for a player they couldn't afford all those years ago (Speroni), this compounded by the Dens club inviting other players they couldn't afford to turn out for them (Juan Sara, Fabian Caballero, Beto Carranza, Temuri Ketsbaia and Georgi Nemsadze).
Administration obviously brought them no shame.

The SFA and Tony McGlennan are probably on a 2 week all expenses paid holiday courtesy of all moneys raised from previous hearings during last season and are in no rush to pass judgement on this case seeing as we don't have to play Celtic again anytime soon at least until the new seasons fixtures are released.

So tomorrow will be 2 weeks on from the Derby.
Very much doubt anything would be announced on a Sunday as the SFA offices are closed that day.
So again...is he got off with it?

No, it's classed as exceptional misconduct or something like that and this gives them as long as they want to bring the case. Same as Tonev racism thing.
Or as everyone knows, they just make it up as they go along.

The Dee was summoned to Hampden a week and a half ago to give his story and a dental expert was there. Looks like they are not having our lawyers beat them as easily as before.
Still don't think they will get Ciftci on this one.
If so at least that potential dead end saves appeal money.

Ciftci probably deserves to be punished but I will be fucked right off if McAllister gets off with a) going through Ciftci two footed while Ciftci was on actually on the ground and b) kicking him thereafter. Fucking total provocation. Stewart should also get done for nasty stamp on Souttar.

Let's be honest here. It looks like he does have a nibble.
Hope he 'gets away' with it but if someone done it to one of our players folk would be going fucking mental.

Yer right mate, absolutely.
The whole Ciftci chase stinks though. I think he is a certified nobend but the whole compliance officer thing is unfair as televised issues are there to be penalising broadcast matches and we are broadcast more than most and less than Celtic. They have dipped under the radar and we have been picked up on every filmed action.
It's a fuckin farce mate.
They won't give up until they get us done.

My honest opinion?
I think he did bite him.But i think he meant it in a 'playful' fighting sorta way and maybe just underestimated how hard he'd bit McCallister the Hun.
He was kinda laughing when he got upto his feet.Either as i say he meant it 'playfully' or he has semi psychotic tendencies.
Fabulous player and though i don't think he's a bad lad i also honestly don't think he's the full shilling. Can't seem to stay away from aggro on the pitch. He basically got sacked from Breda for fighting with a team mate.
This next season is a vital one in his career. If it's to be at Dundee Utd he has to screw the fucking heid otherwise he'll sadly never fulfill his massive potential.

On the subject of whether or no Shifty is the full shilling.
Back around January / Feb one of my good mates telt me a story about Ciftci. The father of the best man at my mates wedding is a taxi driver. One day he got a job ti pick up 4 boys fae the Double Tree hotel (the auld Swallow hotel). So he went doon and it turns out the 4 boys were JMac, Simon Donnelly, Ciftci, and another player who I canna mind, mightve been Fojut.
Anyway the driver, who was a big Tim, got speaking to them and said that he kent wha they all were except Ciftci, just ti get a reaction oot um. Nadir apparently didna take it too well and was adamant that the boy had to know who he was insisting he was the guy who scored all the goals etc. Etc.
This carried on a good while with the driver still saying he didn't ken wha Ciftci was, and Ciftci getting mare and mare raging that he didn't until JMac, Donnelly and the other player were all laughing at him. Safe to say this simply made Nadir even more upset until he eventually sat in the huff for the rest of the journey, leaving the 3 others speaking to the driver.
At the end of the Journey the boy said that the fare was on the house cause his auld man would turn in his grave if he kent he was charging a "Celtic Legend" in Jackie Mac a fare. Nadir apparently was having none of it, and demanded he pay the whole fare only so long as the driver said he would remember who it was that had paid it. Again leaving JMac et Al in stitches in the back of the motor.
Apparently on realising the driver wasna taking his money Nads jumped oot and stormed awa in a huff. With the other boys still laughing in the car.
So eh, apparently a true story, and confirmation if any was needed that Ciftci does indeed hae a screw loose hahaha.
