Re: United kits

The Pony made strips were pretty good when thinking back, the quality was good and they away one with the classic double black hoop was a really good one. With the generic designs to pick from these days there is just no chance of a customised design.

Re: United kits

I've got the 1960s white long sleeved top with the black collar and wristbands. Think it's from 62 to 69. That's the oldest strip I remember.

Re: United kits

Pony stuff was well made. It was the black away outfit in the sixties that helped hook me......

And there's Leedsy there, used to always post "hope you're well"!

And obviously I hope you're well.

Thank you for the good wishes, Pat. Sadly I don't keep well, but I'm still here to tell the tale!

Absolutely loved the bukta top when i was a kid - thick black stripe down the arm, united shields all over the top....

Also loved the cup final/european top (worm 3 times?) - black arms, black panel and tangerine...

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Re: United kits

Yeah the Adidas badge is a bit big as well.

First top was the league winning one which is almost identical but the v neck ripped on it due to my rather bulbous head

Yeah yeah Industrial Estate

Re: United kits

I've got a 79 top too that I purchased from eBay a few years back.

I think these guys are based in Manchester but use the same producers of that top who are somehwere in the far east.  I follow them on Twitter and they get great feedback on their tops.  Looking forward to getting the 87 one if I am lucky enought to get one.  I of course had an original but my mum decided to chuck it out along with all my other 1980's tops, hats etc when I moved out.  Thanks mum!!!
