Re: Kevin Gallagher

For anyone too young to have seen Gallo for Utd,you missed a special talent.

Pace too burn and could score goals of the highest quality.

Re: Kevin Gallagher

His goal in the Scottish Cup Final was a defining moment for me as a wee Arab. It was the first time I didn't just cheer a goal. I went absolutely mental.

He is an ambassador for UTD for fuckin sure.

I might be wrong but I think he has been to all the finals since he played.

Great feeling to think he he witnessed 2010 after the previous pain.

Re: Kevin Gallagher

Listening to his interview at the end it seems that he knocked back a transfer to celtic.

Re: Kevin Gallagher

my first united hero, probably better players in the team at that time (narey and sturrock especially), but Gallachers pace, touch and finishing were amazing for a young kid

that goal in the 88 final is the most bitter sweet united moment ever for me, such a brilliant finish on the biggest stage, but it ended in tears so no-one talks about it. I remember  my dad mentioning on the way home in 1994, brewsters goal was a tap in but won us the cup and made him a hero, but gallachers was much better.

Re: Kevin Gallagher

Was one of my heroes as a kid. We could do with him now.

Re: Kevin Gallagher

Arguably the most talented player we've had post 79 that never won a thing at the club. Maybe him and big Dunc

Re: Kevin Gallagher

Kev is shedded oot his nut.  Was a great wee player for United, his pace was frightening.  Always remember being a bit surprised at the time when he signed for Coverntry as I always thought a really big English club would buy him.  Still he went onto win the leage with Blackburn and won a fair amount of international caps.

Re: Kevin Gallagher

Probably the quickest player I've seen in a United shirt - even quicker than Ralphy.

Re: Kevin Gallagher

Just before my time, but doesn't half pop up in a lot of important matches/moments during his time with us. Remember as a youngster wondering why he left 1. to not such a big team and 2. for not an over big amount. Interview tells us all we need to know now.

Thats a good point HBAF about the lack of honours.
