Round about this time i was outside the entrance of the Hilton Hotel in East Kilbride with my Dad and 2 brothers waving off Ivan Golac+the Utd squad on their coach bound for nearby Hampden Park.
The very fact Dundee United had came to my hometown led me to believe that just maybe something special was about to happen....and i was correct. My proudest day following the club.

Just watched The Goal and the Glory again this week ( courtesy of our fellow posters Thanks again ) and forgot about Guidos contribution in the cup run, how good was he? a string of absolutely amazing saves that kept us in the cup
Only downside of the day was Hannah wearing that rag at the end

Still got my top. Long sleever with the badge and Loki logo all stiched in. Still fits me 21 years later tae!
I know it's easy looking back and saying this now, but I just knew from that first game in Arbroath that we'd win the cup that year. Always remember walking into Hampden that day and you could almost feel positivity seeping out the United support.

Still one of the best days of my life even though I was only 8 y/o. Only downside? Being made to wear a ski jacket in May!?!?
