club merchandise

Now this is something thats been annoying me for a while mostly over the past 3 year with buying or wanting to buy the wee lad club merchandise.

I went into the shop last week to see if they had a new tracksuit for the bairn as its his birthday in a few weeks.. I asked the women if they had his size who replied they have now stopped doing his size. So you now cant get them unless they fit into exrtra small boys which is roughly 6 year old and above.. even at that its shite looking Avec stuff that is way overpriced for a tracksuit top at £32!

Why is theclub sponsor Nike although the club shop seems to sell more Avec stuff than nike?

Ive had the bairn smarter cheaper and better quality Utd stuff  made off ebay ffs.

I know im not alone in thinking this about the stuff getting sold in the shop either it seems to have been the case for a while aswel. Even the infant kits arent nike products they are cheap shite yi dont even get the badge on the shorts they are plain black and yir charged £25 the set where for an extra £5 or so other clubs in our league are selling the full infant kit sponsorsored the lot.

Re: club merchandise

Never understood why we sold other brands outwith the Nike banner tbh. It has always looked a bit shite like you say bowers and the price definitely puts you off if you had actually considered it.

As for the younger sizes who knows. I can only guess sales of younger sizes were not high enough, but I'm sure they could focus on a few items for these sizes.

Re: club merchandise

I posted a similar complaint about this on Mad about 18 months ago.  The shop is fucking hopeless.  I couldn't get a home kit in the wee man's size.  It was basically, we get in what they send us and thats it.  You couldn't order. This was at Christmas time I might add.  By February I gave up and managed to get the last red 3rd kit (top only) they had in his size.

Re: club merchandise

The merchandise has been poor for a long time. The Avec stuff is pretty pants. The only other thing I have bought other than a strip was a Nike track top and it was overpriced.

When are they going to do boxer shorts?

Re: club merchandise

The folk that work in the shop are nice enough but there is some amount of tat sold in it. Can't remember the last time I went in to buy something other than tickets or to renew season ticket.

Was probably to buy the Cup Final DVD, which is very good as was the centenary DVD TBH, so there is scope their to produce some quality items. Turnover can't be massive for a club our size though

Yeah yi cant fault the shop staff they are always brand new when ive been in.

We have looked at having several differant items made for display fundraising and honestly we can get and sell better quality and cheaper priced stuff than they sell in there. We couldnt do it due to copyright obviously but fuck me its not hard.
Even them bucket hats we had made we had mega demand for them.

Re: club merchandise

It's not even Nike as such. All our awful kits are taken from here aren't they?

Haven't liked a single one we've had since we went to 'Nike'. Come back Adidas all is forgiven.
£44 for a home shirt that's basically a training shirt with club badge and sponsor stuck on? No thanks.

Re: club merchandise

Think this has came up so many times over the years. When you think of the products the club does not sell, which strictly speaking don't have sell by date/timeless. Of course it has to be a good design and quality as opposed to a lot of the tat we see. Like Eurobob say as an example, boxers of all things. They would fly out at Christmas and that is just one example, loads of stuff!

Give me the job!!!!
