A fair enough statement IMO. Probably too late though. Relations between club and a sizeable section of fans properly goosed

Don't like the bit about backing Jackie. The rest of it is fair enough. The bit about skills of the board is debatable.

His bit about paying back every penny to creditors...i thought the bank actually wrote off a large slice of our bank debt in the end ....anyway,unimportant.

The statement doesn't really say much for me.

I did challenge him a day or two ago to come out and back Jackie so credit to him for that.It is no secret my thoughts on the Manager and coaches,but my thoughts are not important,what is important is that the Chairman and BoD back him.

It doesn't really address the elephant in the room though does it?

1.is he emigrating to Oz?
2.If so will he remain on the BoD?
3.Who will be the new Chairperson?
4.Will he sell his majority shareholding in Utd?

If the answer to 1 and 4 is YES then i'm not sure the backing of McNamara is worth the time it took to type it out.

Thought the last paragraph was interesting,particulary the mention of Justine.Hinting that she could perhaps take the reigns?

Interesting that after months of silence there has been 3 statements released today also.Season ticket sales perhaps poor thus far and the club actually sparking into action at last?

As i say,still more questions than answers for me.

Think the recent splurge of communication from ST is more to do with Jets' admin than anything else, and that doesn't fill me with hope for matters closer to home.
