The granny is off. Sad to see big Sieb go out at this early stage. Used to get called/still get called by my old high school mates as Sieb as he was my favourite player at the time and I always used to and still do wear his old United goalie top.
I wrote to big Sieb when I used to write the football page for the school newspaper (I know!) to ask for an interview. I lied and said I had interviewed Cilla Black and Noel Edmonds (both big at the time! lol) and to my surprise he sent back a signed photo and a letter saying he would be delighted to do an interview.
I bet he got a big surprise when he thought it would be cameras, photos, professional journo stuff when in fact it was just a wee kid, with a bad 90's hairdo, and a bunch of his mates turned up for it instead.
But the big man was so nice and we sat down at the reception bit at Tannadice and he answered all my stupid questions e.g: Whats your favourite Burt Reynolds film (Smokey and the Bandit), How long have you had the 'tache (since he was 15!) and the most improtant question of all: Was he in fact a porn star in earlier life (no). After putting up with us he posed for a few pictures then he had to go to Gussie Park for training. Wee Tommy McLean was in charge and couldnt help feel that we were keeping him late as when we were walking down Tannadice Street we looked back up and saw Sieb in full sprint running to Gussie. I could imagine the bollocking he must have got.
So yes I will be voting for Big Sieb as not only a Cult Hero but also as one of my personal hero's as well.

Thanks TEK, I don't think the big man will mind getting beat by Psycho.
I love Davie Bowman as well, don't get me wrong. A friend of mine (a rangers fan, I know!) played against him recently in a charity game, he told me he accidently clipped him in the heels when he ran past him in the first few minutes, and from then on Psycho kicked him up and down the park, so much so that he asked to get taken off at half time!
Davie Bowman for what he lacked in talent made up for, and more, in total effort and commitment, and for that I am happy that Sieb would be knocked out the competition for that.
