Brian Graham on the move

To Falkirk on loan,if rumours are true.

Whilst I don't particularly rate the guy it does leave us with just two forwards again in Ciftci and Bilate (I don't regard Erskine as a forward).

I would hope that we are working behind the scenes to get someone else in and quickly.

Re: Brian Graham on the move

Dow can also do a job up front if needed but think Balate and Graham are basically the same type player and don't think Graham will feature much if he does stay!

Re: Brian Graham on the move

hope its true as he is not good enough and technically will never improve, for a guy his size what he lacked technically he should have made up for in aggression and should have been a centre halfs nightmare by elbowing them etc but he was far to soft

Re: Brian Graham on the move

Heard this last week, Bilate already looks better. Nadir Is years ahead of Graham as we all know.

On a replacement, John Sutton please.

Re: Brian Graham on the move

disapointed tbh......

Re: Brian Graham on the move

Stobes a hear ya man.

Early days but i'm not convinced Bilate is any better tbh (despite the Motherwell goal).

Leaves us with very little options upfront and tbh i think if Ciftci get's injured were fecked again.

Erskine's been great since pre-season but i don't think he's an out-and-out-forward.or even an out-and-out-starter tbh.good option fae the bench though.

Re: Brian Graham on the move

Pretty sure there's someone else coming in if he's away.

He's nowhere near as bad as some people make out, but prob better all round for him to move on.

Re: Brian Graham on the move

I'm not so sure The_Shed.

McNamara done an Arabzone interview just 2 or 3 days ago and when asked if there would be any more transfer activity before the window closes sounded pretty adamant that no-one else would be coming IN,but said players would be moving OUT and that he'd been trying to move people on all Summer.

He must have knew then Graham was part of the potential OUT'S.

I will be pissed aff if we don't sign a striker and Left back in the next week or so.

Re: Brian Graham on the move

I don't believe a word any manager says in interviews, even club ones, it's just the way football is, use the press at times, hide everything you can at times.

If no one comes in it'll be a poor move, unless they have the faith in Jordan Moore or another youth to step up.

FWIW I think he'll do ok in Perth.

Re: Brian Graham on the move

Jordan Moore hasn't been in a first team squad this season, and never even played for the u20's in the past 2 matches.

Not sure what the story is there tbh,if he's injured or what.

Re: Brian Graham on the move

Yeah, the fact he's not playing 20s is odd, but not necessarily meaning right now, but as the season progresses. Still think there'll be a replacement coming in tho. Soon find out.

Re: Brian Graham on the move

Shocked to hear this have to admit. Hope part of the deal is that he doesna play against us. Be rather ironic if he was to score a a couple of flappers like the Gypsy May.

Re: Brian Graham on the move

I'm pretty certain part of the deal will be he can't play against us Bill.

Gardyne and Erskine weren't allowed to last season.

Re: Brian Graham on the move

Have a bad feeling this could bite us on the backside if Graham starts scoring for them given that they are probably our main rivals to finish 3rd (assuming the sheep finish 2nd). Him not playing against us will only have a minimal effect on this. Would have preferred him to go out to a Hamilton or a Killie.

Too much commotion

Re: Brian Graham on the move

Really surprised at this, realised Jackie had to shift some wages but didn't expect it to be half our striker only squad.

Re: Brian Graham on the move

The other thing that might be of concern down the line, is goad forbid if anything happens to Super Mario and/or Shifty. Dont really have anybody else.

Re: Brian Graham on the move

Really surprised by this too. This late in the window, with no one else in first, to one of our rivals for top 6.

I'm not exactly sorry to see him go, on one hand I don't think he got many opportunities but on the other when he was given a chance from the start I don't think he took it.

I've never liked the cut of his jib though, doesn't come across as a team player in his interviews and his body language at Tannadice is poor too.

Maybe best all round that he's gone, just hope we've something lined up to replace him.

Re: Brian Graham on the move

If either Nadir or Mario get injured we don't have a forward on the bench, currently.

The more i think about it he must be bringing a forward in.Surely ??

No according to Jackie, TEK.

Re: Brian Graham on the move

He doesn't actually say on that that he won't sign another forward though bill.

He only says Graham wasn't prepared to be a 3rd choice striker (fair enough).

Maybe we can bring someone in who will be,initially,a 3rd choice but can stake a claim for a start.

We fucking better tbh.

If Mcnamara doesn't sign a forward i will seriously doubt his management.

We can't go a whole season with 2 forwards. And Jordan Moore is an unknown quantity, having never played even 1 minute of top flight Fitba.

Re: Brian Graham on the move

That will be the last we see of Graham, you don't leave and give a statement like he has and expect to be back next season ready for a starting position IMO. Toys oot the pram about goals last season and pre season but not getting a game!!

Might be proved wrong but don't thnk i will be!

Re: Brian Graham on the move

Nah he won't be back.

I think reading between the lines, there's been some kind of showdown between the 2.

Graham's Arabzone interview in Holland alluded to the fact he was pissed off playing second fiddle. At his age he needs games. So i have no problem with him wanting out.

Mcnamara better get his finger out though.

His dealings this Summer for the most part have annoyed me.

We have brought in 5 million in transfer fee's but the squad is no stronger in certain departments i.e. STILL have 1 left back,STILL only have 2 forwards.

There is a chance to do something special with Sevco out the league and Celtic as poor as they've been in a decade. But i don't sense ambition at the club.

Re: Brian Graham on the move

i think you could right TEK, possibly came to a head that he's getting left out...as long as we replace with better...thats all we ask for..

Jackie's ZONE interview would suggest Jordan was 4th. We all know his attitude and desire is second to none and he scores for fun. Certainly not ready but a few weeks with first team could change that.

Like you, I'm intrigued to know why he's not featured anywhere lately  (Jordan, no Brian ).
