Whats the very first movie you saw at the cinema.
Mine was this..
It was 1984 in the now closed cinema in Kirkcaldy. I just turned 5 years old and remember sitting in the very back row with my big brother and mum. I remember having two vivid memories of the movie when I went to see it, the ghost librarian at the very start and Slimer right at the very end of the movie, as they both gave me nightmares for a few weeks after.
I remember the next day at primary school telling everyone how cool it was, for that one day I was treated like a king! lol.
Years later its still one of my favourite films, my two young girls both love it and dont think its scary and they are younger than when I first saw it! But they actually prefer Ghostbusters II over the original. I love both, but the sequel had no Walter Peck.

Popeye the Movie with Robyn Williams. Slept through it. After that would've been Return of the Jedi. Remember that though. My old boy took me to see Ghostbusters as well at the Vic. Class movie. Also remember seeing A View to a Kill and The Temple of Doom around that time as well.

Return of the Jedi would have been amazing to see when it first came out in 1983, and Empire Strikes Back in 1980 as well, especially with the 'I am your father' bombshell before there was the Internet and spoilers and such like.
Online!
Not old enough to remember but apparently it was "Superman".
I only know because my Mum's recanted the tale of me 'shooshing' the guy infront for talking and then eventually slapping him on his baldy napper, countless times over the years.
Think i was 3 or 4.

Rocky or Return of the Jedi in the Vic, could also remember watching E.T with the Primary school at the ABC think that may have came 1st though because i vaguely remember smoking in the Vic and i didn't really start that until i was in secondary school apart from being forced to play "chaw the beef" with my brother and his mates at around the slightly immature age of 8

I mind of going to see Annie too, and I was of the mind it must have been my first. But I also remember going to see Herbie Goes Bananas at the pictures and having just checked that was two years before Annie so I reckon it was that.

Can't remember my first trip to the cinema. My earliest memory was Ghostbusters II which scared me shitless, still a firm favourite though and much prefer it to Ghostbusters I even if Bill Murray doesn't.
Yanosh and Vigo were a scary pairing. The guy who played Vigo was an interesting character in real life and had a bit of a sad end. Wilhelm Von Homberg - there is a decent bio of him on IMDB and Wiki, also a documentary on YouTube but I am unsure if it's still up.

If you play Ghostbusters the videogame on the PS3, Xbox 360 versions it takes place after the second film and you can speak to Vigo down in the reception area of the firehouse as the painting is hung up there. Its a great game written by Akyrod and Ramis with all the original cast apart from Weaver and Moranis. Its the true Ghostbusters 3.

Looks like I'll need to get myself a PS3 or Xbox 360

You Only Live Twice. About 5 or 6 at the time.
It's a tie between this and Diamonds Are Forever for my fave. Bond film.

Zulu, was the most famous one, I think.
1964
But I saw a few Tarzan films at matinees in the old Palace Cinema in Stenhousemuir before that. Folk flung used ice cream cartons at the screen when the film broke down, with the result that ice cream ran down and remained stained there for ages.
