He's got to go. Its absolutely pathetic now. All the hard work and ethos instilled in the club by Levein has been undone. We are back to accepting defeat like in the McCall, Chisholm and Brewster era.
It appears to be a Mexican stand-off between two men who's main motivation is money. One won't go because he wants his pay-off, whilst the other won't sack him because wants to keep all his money for his own impending departure.
Meanwhile the fans look on in utter despair and are actually getting the blame in some quarters for the whole sorry mess.

That is EXACTLY it mate.
Apathy has set in to an extent and there seem to be die-hards staying away and others that seem to think that getting beaten in such a pitiful manner is acceptable now.

One other thing...no infact 2 other things....
1.Our away form is embarrassing.
2.Our 2nd half performances are utterly shockingly bad.We so often capitulate completely in the 2nd half.Is this fitness or mentality...or both?
I know where the buck stops anyway.

Unbelievable, we could be in Hunz', Hertz' or Hibz' position but some (no me) are too busy being disgusted with Finals, Q/Fs and top 6 finishes.
Offline
Both.
Home form is definitely better because the players have nowhere to hide when 6000 of you own fans are watching.
Fitness is a joke as well.

Don't worry Bugs, we'll get there. It took Hibs about 5 years to decline to the stage where they got relegated post selling all their best players. We look like we will do it in 18 months. Make no mistake, we will get relegated next season if this continues.

As a matter of interest, who is your great Messiah in the meantime?

I'd actually look a bit further afield. Cathro has said privately he would take the job. Badger still desperate to be his own man as well. The boy Lazlo did a really good job at Hearts despite no support from Romanov.
Short term, Campbell and Bowman?

So, you would sack a management team, at great cost, that have improved the seasonal performance of a team that's had it's heart ripped out twice by the board, for a fantasy shopping list?

Why does it have to be a 'Messiah'?
How about someone who can just do basic stuff like organise and motivate a team.Or even one who can get the players fit.
Or were you just being sarcastic?

I'm certainly not gonna start picking fights here Bugs. I respect your opinion and faith that Jackie will get it right.
All I want is a manager who gets the players:
a) Working hard
b) Trying to play the right way
c) As fit as every other team
d) Showing character when the chips are down
There is a reason why everyone went absolutely nuts at the end of the cup games against Motherwell and particularly the Aberdeen semi. It was because we actually showed some guts in coming from behind to win the game. People are not used to seeing that this season under Jackie. Seemingly we've been behind in about 22 games this season but the two I've mentioned above are the only ones we've actually won with only 3 draws. Thats scary.

I don't want him sacked. He should resign. But he won't.

Even when Abbott and Costello were here we still never looked like recovering from a losing position.

A Mexican standoff is a confrontation between two or more parties in which neither party can proceed nor retreat without being exposed to danger. As a result, all participants need to maintain the strategic tension, which remains unresolved until some outside event makes it possible to resolve it (from Wiki)
Suppose the fans could be the 'outside event'.

That's exactly what will have to happen Pat,and i've thought that for some time now.
Might be that defeat next week is what it takes for the support to turn on him and hasten his departure.
Then no doubt his pals in the media will all comment how ridiculous it all is.

The only power fans actually have is not buying season tickets.

If they were to chant 'Jackie ...Jackie GTF' or something similiar loudly from the ETL he'd be off that same night.
Not saying i would want that to happen btw.But it'll take something like that for him to walk,as he knows he's unsackable for all intents and purposes.
Offline
The only way he's unsackable is if Thompson doesn't want to sack him. But if fans genuinely have had enough then the the way to make themselves heard the most is to say "I am not buying a season ticket to watch that standard of football again".
Next Sunday night is the perfect time for him to go.
And he should.
We need change.

I hope to fuck that doesn't happen. It would be an absolute minter. The Fun would have a field day.

It is sad to say this but Jackie just doesn't have it. This has been apparent for some considerable time. Cup final v st j and the game at their place when he left Morris on clearly injured to fek are the worst for me but there have been many others.
He just does not have it and the United job has been way to much for him.
Thought when he came here it was a good appointment, like probably most arabs. Boy has that proved wrong.
Really, really has to walk away.

If you read the post, you'd appreciate I'm satisfied with the final outcome overall, especially bearing in mind the handicaps.
Quite remarkable with "bad results for months".
Jackie's "cut" is down to ST and should always be treated as such.
Presumably, then, the 3H's position is preferable, if I'm so wrong with my post?

Thompson can't afford to sack him...and Donnelly,and Jackson,and Hinchcliffe.
He's unsackable for that reason.

Good point bugs. I love your lack of negativity, it's a game of football after all
