It costs £1000 a game to play it at Forfar. Don't play at Gussie seemingly due to lack of a spectator area. Dundee United Development Association (DUDA) along with Arabtrust starting to raise money to build a covered 500 seater stand and a kiosk but this process will likely take a couple of years.

Nowhere near £1000 mate. It's in the region of £180.

Posts crossed Silver, but that figure is a quote, any idea what the rate is for Excelsior because half the development games in Scotland have been played there.

Not too sure Bugs but as far as im aware, Forfar charge approx £140 for any club football, but £180 for the pro's.

It's a brilliant earner for a very well run club. Utd and Dundee are using it pretty much all of their home games now.

Can only assume Excelsior is £185 now and the £1k quote is doubtful.

Someone on another forum suggested we have agreed to play at Forfar for the rest of the season.

Sounds like we were all over them for the vast majority of the game.

Re: DUFC U20's Thread

Pumelling a team, failing to score, lose a goal against the run of play, then huff and puff eventually losing.

Where have we seen that before?

Tbh, Tek, a wee smiley or something might've helped because it was anything but obvious based on the last few weeks here.

LOL.

I'll put a wee smiley if that makes folk feel happier about the way the club is just now,if necessary.

Absolutely no smiley required for the way the club is just now, but may be required for tongue in cheek posts in the short term.

Played well in a good open game but Hibs were better, and half their team had lots of 1st team experience where our whole team had about 5 minutes.

Had great chats during the game with the Man City Scottish scout - mainly about the good old days when we saw Dossing and Gillespie play (he could actually remember Peter McKay!) but also the present. The stats he was telling me about the MC youth academy (cost £286M) were astonishing. Something like 26 pitches of varying surfaces and 3 stadia (I've to search for MCFC Academy on the net later).

For me though, a youth player signing for them would have a zillion to one chance of making it with them. Even if he was better than the rest at every age group they would still go out and buy.

So, they should sign for United first.

Edit to add that even eh admit it's better than St Andrews and GA combined (it's probably bigger than St Andrews the toon).

Worth putting this up again for anyone who hasn't seen the plans for this training complex already (I missed this post) it is out of this World.
I did however notice something missing, guess what it is fellas

Ps. It's not John or Harry Souttar if your looking in Tom Duthie

Good spot St Ob, and he seemed really interested in Stanton.

Edit to say - quotes should be dated, or Duthie could think this is news?

Beat St Mirren yesterday 2-0, Darren Petrie netting the 1st & Ola Adeyemo got the 2nd up at Station Park, good wee boost for our young team ahead of Thursdays derby at Tannadice.
6pm kick off for that game.

Good to see big Ola back amongst the goals. His loan to E.Fife hasn't quite worked out as planned.

Heard Luis Zwick was impressive in goals yesterday.

Was anyone there?
