Celtic manager Ronny Deila is ready to reignite interest in Dundee United striker Nadir Ciftci. The Tannadice club are apparently looking for £3 million for the Turk. (Sun)
I hope we're not their feeder club

how much is that in Australian Euros?

How much would the club get?
Online!
They tried to sign him in January.
He'll be away there in July, nothing surer.Probably for nearer 2 million than 3 though. After Ciftci's cut (30%) + Jmac's club will doing well to see 1 million.
Could use that money to try+rebuild the side.
Question is do you trust Jmac to be the man to use that cash wisely?

Aye teks right he was sounded out in January but i heard jmac blocked it due to it ruining the season and alienating the fans....been as well letting him go then eh!
3 million?....in a fucking heartbeat....after jmac,Thomson, the soft loaners, shifty and van hooydonk (sp) we'll hae enough to reduce the debt by about 50 grand
Online!
Forgot about the soft loaners lolz.
Dundee United FC... the club where the debt NEVER ends.

If he's leaving I would bite your hand off for £3M, but what will probably happen is he will get sold for just over 1M plus add ons

ciftci has dissapointed me this season i really thought he could get 30 goals based on fact its possibly worst spl in my lifetime standard wise and higdon done 30 goals for mwell only two years ago but i think higdon has a much better attitude than ciftci who seems to sulk and throw his arms in the air for most of every game if we could get 2 million for him then take it even if it means selling to they cunts

I don't think I could deal with this...

If we get 3m for Ciftci, i'd be blooming amazed.
ARob set the league on fire with his performances - 3m. Gauldy had signs of brilliance and v young 3m.
Ciftci is a lad with a questionable attitude and questionable workrate who has been playing in a team which has not played to HIS style - thus meaning hes goals/game ratio is way down on what it was last season - 1 million.
On top of that, Celtic know they can do the transfer fee dance with ST and get what they want... he talks about big figures but in reality, its just talk....unless you get 2 teams desperate for his signature. My hope is one of the turkish teams and celtic do battle for his signature and we get a decent fee.
In reality, he has 1 year left on his contact.....bye bye nadir, for a pittance

£3million for ciftci llf somecunt at tannadice needs to lay off the crack pipe.
Whatever we get for him you are looking at around 50% of the figure will actually go to the club after ciftci gets the 30% and the merry men are weighed in

Was it just a coincidence that the attacking side of the team looked more cohevise on Saturday than it has since the turn of the year. This time last year Cifcti was a team player now he just plays for himself. We dont need players going in the huff. It is best for all parties if he moves on, however if Thompson gets 3M for him he has worked a Goodwillie esq miracle.

Could have a point there. Ciftci is a top player when on his game, but some of his negative characteristics do bring him and as a result the team down at times.

More strangely, we're not even playing them next week.

Deila's playing mind games. It's all talk to get Ciftci to raise his game for the visit of Aberdeen on Saturday, hoping he'll ping in a goal or two and seal the Championship for Celtic!

Like he needs Nadir to do him favours, the league is well wrapped up.

Pierre saying Ciftci is happy at Utd and would even consider extending his stay but the club haven't been forthcoming as regards extending his deal which runs out in a year.
_____________________________________________________________________________________
Agent Pierre van Hooijdonk says he has had no contact with Celtic about Nadir Ciftci and does not rule out extending the striker's stay with Dundee United.
Celtic manager Ronny Deila has described reports of interest in the Turkish striker as "just rumours".And former Celtic striker Van Hooijdonk said: "There is nothing that I know."If the right club isn't there for him, we would take it to another season at United. He's very happy with the way he is being treated at the club."
The 23-year-old Ciftci, who joined United from Breda in 2013, has one year remaining on his contract at Tannadice."I can imagine that they are looking at him, but I have had no calls from Celtic," said Van Hooijdonk. "It is all speculation at the moment."I have no doubts that he could play at a higher level, but here is no need to speculate about other options."I'm sure they will be there in the future, but the move has to be right."
However, Van Hooydonk stressed that no offer of an extension had yet been received from United."That signal has to come from United," he said. "The club has to offer."I don't know what the plans are from Dundee United."
Nadir has confidence in the staff he's working with. I think that is how it should go."The player is in a good situation. He is enjoying himself and what he is doing."If something comes up where it is worth him looking at it, we will."Everyone knows Celtic are the biggest club in Scotland, but there is no point discussing it until something does."
Celtic bought midfielders Stuart Armstrong and Gary Mackay-Steven from United in January and assistant manager Simon Donnelly has been quoted as saying that a further summer approach would not be welcome.
Deila did not want to be drawn on a report that Ciftci and teenage defender John Souttar were among Celtic's potential summer targets."I don't want to comment on any names," he said. "We have our targets and we work on things and, when it is clear, we will tell you."It's always tough for smaller clubs to lose players."They make the club a lot of money, which they can reinvest and build the club further, and small clubs need to do that more."We also do the same, so every club needs to make that decision."I can understand they are upset, but they have to see it as a big honour that they are producing players that others want

I wouldn't trust a word Van Hoodwink says tbh.
