Sad news. I honestly saw Jamie Montgomery as the next Stretch (I've been watching him play from u/9s) and I'm sure he'll get fixed up. Strange for Sparky, because there's not much cover at FB and Jamie Robson's got a bit to go physically and Chris McLauchlin's been playing CB (possibly for his physique). Adam Harwood was good and organised well but I always felt he was another nearly man like Anderson or Garten. Darren Petrie is an enigma who played for Scotland, and had injury problems - no idea for the background of his apparent demise (but have seen many more).
Honestly believe that some of them may have been affected by other players being brought in and them going down the pecking order but the mental strength to counter things like that is crucial for young players.
